Diane Sawyer’s move to ABC’s “World News” leaves a big hole at “Good Morning America,” and several staff members told the New York Times that they expect major changes, including a number of anchor shifts, at the morning show.

ABC has just four months to figure out the moves before Charlie Gibson steps down in the evenings. The industry guessing game about possible Sawyer replacements runs from ABC’s own Kate Snow and Elizabeth Vargas, to CNN’s Campbell Brown and Fox Business Network’s Alexis Glick.

I'm sure it will take them at least that long to come up with a plan, but I believe the ratings will suffer with Diane's departure to the evening news.

GMA was certainly gaining on the Today Show. I expect a BIG name to replace Sawyer.
