If you're looking for a channel that has the best lineup of classic series from the 1950s to today, with great emphasis on the early days of TV, and you're still fed up with TV Land and you're not sure what to make of RTV, then you should check out ME-TV, which, in my opinion, has, without any doubt, THE BEST group of series that you will find anywhere on this planet. ME-TV is what TV Land used to be and what RTV is trying to accomplish, although not very well. The sad part is, only a small few of you will get to see it, but at least the schedule is fun to look at and so I'll let you see it shortly to give you an idea of what a real channel looks like when you put some brains behind it.

I was watching a clip on YouTube just to see what the channel was like and I was amazed to learn that ME TV has over 100 different series in their library and they don't mind showing as many as they can. Of course, that would be tough to do for any length of time on only one channel and so that's why a second channel ME TOO was created. With the new fall season approaching, both channels will be changing their lineups in drastic fashion, however, their mission will still be the same, which is, to keep the classics coming.

Starting Mon. Sept.14, as indicated on ME-TV's homepage, ME-TV Chicago will be all sitcoms, all the time, while ME-TOO will be all dramas. Sadly, this means that the popular ME-TOO marathons which have been running all summer will end as of next Friday to be replaced by a more stable lineup. Both stations will still air separate marathons on Saturdays only.

On ME-TV, you can expect to see classic sitcoms like "I Love Lucy", "Leave It To Beaver", "Andy Griffith", "Beverly Hillbillies", and a few of the rarer types that nobody else will dare run like "Gidget", "My Favorite Martian", "Burns and Allen", "Jack Benny", "The Phil Silvers Show", and "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father", plus a couple of sitcoms for the 'modern' crowd like "Frasier" and "Scrubs".

ME-TOO will be dramas only and they too will haul out the hits, a whole bunch of them, like "Star Trek", "The Twilight Zone", "Starsky and Hutch", "The Rockford Files", "Perry Mason", "The A-Team", "Bonanza", and "Superman".

ME-TV can also be seen in Milwaukee, the home of Arnold's Drive-In, so it's not surprising that both "Happy Days" and "Laverne and Shirley" will be featured prominently in their lineup, which will be slightly different than its Chicago neighbor, but it's still great to watch!

Now if only someone can figure out how to make these great stations available in some form for the rest of us (that's in the US AND Canada!) it would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunatley, in Milwaukee HD and L&S have been pushed into the early morning hours. They are airing Reba and 3rd Rock from the Sun instead during the afternoon/evening, which is a disturbing since neither show would be considered a "classic". I hope they bring Me-Too up here soon!

In my area Happy Days is airing at 12 noon and is followed by L & S at 12:30. Just like the old days, a one-two punch!

If any of you can catch Naked City as listed in a post above, I really recommend it. I just watched a couple of Season 2 episodes and they were top-drawer. I'm a big fan of Nancy Malone and always look for her work.
