LeAnn Rimes has announced on her website she is getting divorced after seven years of marriage.

The 26-year-old country singer wrote in a message to her fans: "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage."

Rimes and backup dancer Dean Sheremet were married in February 2002.

The official split comes six months after tabloid reports romantically linked Rimes to CSI:Miami star Eddie Cibrian.

The rumoured couple allegedly began dating while co-starring in the Lifetime TV movie Northern Lights last March.

Last week, Cibrian filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, former model Brandi Glanville.

Remember when Julianne Morris (his former co-star from Y&R, last seen on DAYS) dated him? She was (and is) a devoted Christian who vowed to stay a virgin until she got married. She knew Eddie had been around the block as it were but it seemed like he'd changed his ways. He'd asked her parents' permission to marry her but before he popped the question, they split. All Julianne would say about it was that he wasn't as honest with her as she'd been with him (that was from an interview she did with Soap Opera Digest about a decade ago. He was still on Sunset Beach at the time and declined to comment in the article).

So I think it is safe to say that Julianne cut her ties with him. She is now happily married to another man and has children with him, so I think she can safely say that splitting up with Eddie was for the best!!

Yes, he does. It seems like they pretty much stay out of the limelight, which is by and large a good thing.

Both Eddie and LeAnn are getting a lot of hate on the IMDB boards. There are tons of threads saying that LeAnn cheated because Dean is gay. I think no matter what was going on with Dean. LeAnn was wrong to cheat with a married man who has children.

I really haven't liked LeAnn since she made comments after the 2006 CMA's incident with Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood. Faith always said she was joking around and she didnt know the camera was on her. But LeAnn went and posted on her site that she agreed with and felt that Faith was "right" to be upset over Carrie's win. She also posted that Carrie didn't deserve to win because she was a newcomer who hadn't paid her dues. First off LeAnn shouldn't spoken for Faith and second LeAnn pretty much had instant success when her career first started at age 13. LeAnn did spend the years before she got a record deal performing at small concerts and festivals.

Carrie started performing publicly at age 10. She tried to get record deal at 13 but nothing materialized. She kept perfoming around Oklahoma and Arkansas. When she was 17 she tried again for a record deal. She then decided to go college. She only kept performing to make extra money for college. Carrie lived the lifestyle of a poor college student. She only tried out for AI on a whim. Carrie has said that not getting record deals at 13 and 17 were best things for her because she was able to grow up normally and get a college education.

LeAnn comes off as a spoiled brat. Her dad accused her wrecking expensive cars as a teenager. I do think maybe her dad expoilted her. But LeAnn seems to have an ego. I still like some of her music. But I find it hard to like her as a person.

I know...thankfully Julianne and her hubby took the opposite path. I don't even think she's acting anymore. It seems like she's become a full-time wife/mom.

I liked Julianne on Y&R and Days. She is natural beauty. I think it's good that she has chosen to be full time mom and wife as long she is happy that's what should matter.
