Gil Grissom (William L. Petersen) exits this season and Laurence Fishburne joins the cast in the lead role of Dr. Raymond Langston. Along with Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), Nick Stokes (George Eads), Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda), and Captain Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), they are all on the case 24-7, scouring the scene, collecting irrefutable evidence, and finding the missing pieces that will solve the mystery.
