catlover79 08-30-2009, 11:10 PM A tie - WOW!! A few of them were first-time winners, too. I am sorry that Peter Reckell lost - this was his first nomination in 26 years in the role of Bo on Days.
-STEFFY- 08-30-2009, 11:12 PM My favorite of the winners is Jeff Branson from Guiding Light.

When UPN and The WB merged together it became The CW in 2006.
The award ceremony aired last night (Sunday) 8-10pm.
browneyes106 09-01-2009, 07:15 PM I like a lot of the winners. But I don't think Julie Berman is really that great.
Mr. Television 09-01-2009, 07:18 PM It aired on CW - need I say more??
I get the feeling the Daytime Emmys will go the way of GL in a few years...sad to say.
catlover79 09-01-2009, 07:20 PM I like a lot of the winners. But I don't think Julie Berman is really that great.
I agree...I never cared for her work, but that's just me.
spunkygirl 09-03-2009, 10:27 PM I agree about Julie Berman, she's a major overactor. Kirsten Storms deserved it IMO.
Christian LeBlanc is good, but what did he do that was emmy worthy?

Honestly, nothing really over the past year. Though, when Jeanne Cooper won last year, she hadn't really done much the previous year, but certainly made up for it this past year.

IMO, Kristen Alderson (OLTL) should've won the Emmy, and she wasn't even nominated!!

I agree. I don't remember him having that major of a storyline, especially to fit under LEAD actor. Michael has been turned into a supporting character.
I'm just glad Tony Geary didn't win. I'm a Thorsten Kaye fan and IMO he deserved it. The scenes he submitted, my gosh, had me in tears, they were so great

At least Thorsten Kaye's other half (Susan Haskell of OLTL) took home the Lead Actress trophy!! :D
spunkygirl 09-03-2009, 11:55 PM That I was happy about. I was rooting for either her or Maura West :D

Same here - both are excellent actresses.
