I have a love-hate relationship with the Fall. I'll post why I love it AND hate it.

Love
weather
apple-picking and making homemade apple pie and apple crisp
starting the new school year
cheering for the Red Sox in the playoffs and hopefully the World Series
fairs and harvest festivals

Don't Love
knowing the cold weather is coming
days getting shorter and nights getting longer
seeing the Red Sox get eliminated in the playoffs
watching the flowers die
end of summer

I always enjoyed leaving work and it's aleady dark outside-lol

-HALLOWEEN!!...which leads to...
-Horror movies!!! They play more in anticipation of Halloween. Love it!
-Crisp weather (I love going out with a light sweater or jacket!)
-Beautiful trees (love the golds, reds, yellows)
-Fall comfort foods/drinks (apple crisp, pumpkin pie, Starbucks hot apple cider, candy corn, etc.).

What's not to love about fall? :)

Like:

TV season
Cooler weather
Colorful trees

Hate:

The time change. 5pm sunsets majorly suck.

love:
-marching band season
-apple picking
-halloween
-cool weather
-the general coziness
-leaves changing color
-Thanksgiving (this is really late fall but still!)

hate:
-summer ending
-back to school (though im really kind of ready to go back at this point)
-time change...its so depressing when it gets dark at like 4-5pm :x

fall is my 2nd favorite season, after summer....its just so cozy. :mrtarver:

Weather. I hate the heat with a passion.

No more baseball. I get my husband back.

I can cook better dinners because it's not so hot, and we have better appetites.

Better health. Extreme heat and cold bother me, so Spring and Fall are my Seasons.

More income (long story).

Actually the docs gave me another due date.. September 28th, plus I have already been having contractions... just not close enough together to do anything lol.

FALL: for us in Southern California means, Santa Ana winds, that bring terrible, wild fires (not fun); but besides that, I am looking forward to cooler temps (even though we do not experience major differences in seasons in my area). Halloween, which I spend in Huntington Beach every year: partying, being dressed up, having fun, need I say more?:D

Oh everything about it! I love Autumn! :D

I absolutely LOVE fall and until this summer I considered it to be my favorite season. Actually I guess it still is but I LOVED it being so warm this year! Yep, even the 107 degree heat we had back on August 3rd (or whatever day that was!) didnt' bother me that much. Now not having A/C in my house during that time DID, but that's another story!

Anway, here's my list...

What I love about Fall

1-College Football (GO Huskies!!! UW!!!)

2-Still a little warm here; hoping for an Indian Summer, actually!

3-SEPTEMBER! My favorite month of the year. First, it's my birthday, then the week after is my husband's birthday, but I just love the month of September in general. Sadly, it's the one that seems to go the fastest!

4-Halloween. I'm not really a huge fan of Halloween, but I love the ritual my husband and I have of leaving out a bowl of candy for the neighborhood kids and then heading off to a movie.

5-The best reason of all... The GORGEOUS fall colors that make the Pacific Northwest look like it's been painted with a brush!

What I hate about Fall...

The worst is it getting dark so early. In the winter here, it seriously gets dark by 4:30. That is just WRONG!!! 5pm is bad enough! I hate having to go to work in the dark and getting home in the dark as well. It's kind of scary waiting for the bus at night even though the bus stops are pretty safe.

oh god, i hate that too. it is so wierd walking back getting the train, bus back home at 4.30- 5pm, daylight has fallen and in its place it is dark. often too, you'd end up looking over your shoulder, because there might be some person wanting to steal your purse or wallet.

ok here are my 5 reasons-

1) it later on leads up my favourite time of the year- christmas :D !

2) i absolutely hate summer- don't like the heat, i get nosebleeds

3) i like the brownish colours of fall, especially from the leaves

4) it is my favourite season after winter

5) for me anyway, i spend some time over the fall, planning and working out my budget for xmas. i don't like leaving things until early december.

Well, pretty much just about eveything that others have mentioned -

1)Kids going back to school

2)The weather - waiting for that 1st cold front to where I can turn my A/C off and open my windows!!

3)Baseball post season

4)Football season starting up(and I'm not even a huge fan!!)

5)The up-coming holidays, especially Halloween:rock: I'm planning to put up my autumn stuff in and outside my house tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned Sept.1st is the 1st day of autumn for me.

And to me, I don't even mind the time change. I don't care that it'll be getting darker earlier.
