Was he murdered? I believe so. The evidence suggests he did not commit suicide, so it would have to be homicide. There were two people's blood in the house, the gun he held was fired twice. They should have tested the blood for DNA and this case might have been solved already.

I never understood what the motive might have been.

I always thought that if it wasn't suicide it was assumed that someone shot him by accident.

I think he was murdered. I don;t want to malign the dead but I can't help but wonder if he was involved in some shady things.

I suppose I view this case in the same light as Rae Ann Mossor's "suicide" - no motive, no obvious suspects, the victims threatened suicide just prior. But, if you follow the ballistics, it had to have been murder.

If he was and his family suspected or knew it, then there may have been a good reason why such a hypothetical scenerio wasn't mentioned on the show: Either there's no evidence to support it, or there was legitimate concern that revealing it on national television might cause viewers to think too negatively of the victim.

Wonder if the parents business was completely legitimate?

They did mention that they were wealthy and Danny was part of it. They

They seemed a little vague on what the Williams actually did.

As long as there's no evidence to suggest anything illegitimate about the family business, I am giving Danny's family and their business the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the family is suspecting someone in particular of Danny's death, but lack the evidence to publicly name names.
