Does anyone know any shows that changed their end music to a completely different tune? Some examples are Reba, they used three different end theme songs in season one, two- four, and five/ six. Family Matters is another, they had two versions, in seasons one- four and five- eight.

Silver Spoons, Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, and Who's the Boss? are also examples, since each of those 4 shows updated their opening themes as well.

A Different World, Growing Pains, and Alice.

"BONANZA" did, in the season before their last when they also changed the classic "burning map" opening and opening theme. But audiences complained so for the last season they brought back the classic theme.

Dragnet '67-'70 had about at least 2 or 3 different closing themes.

The 1st one was a much different closing theme than the familiar "Dragnet March" one. Lasted from January 1967-68 or '69.

The 2nd one was an alternate closing theme used in a few eps. of S1.

The 3rd was when they began using the "Dragnet March" as the closing theme. Used throughout 1969 and 1970.

The Saint did it in its last season I believe. Truthfully, I liked it better than the original tune. :)

Happy days season 11. Throughout its entire run it pretty much stayed the same, with a few Minor changes. Then season 11 changed it completley. Look it up on YouTube. You'll see what I mean.

Bob Newhart Show made minor adjustments to its original theme during its first three seasons. In season four, it changed to a jazzier theme, with more minor adjustments.

Seems like the long-running Tandem/Embassy sitcoms (Diff'rent Strokes, Facts of Life, Silver Spoons) went for a rock or synthesized style theme around 1985.

Knots Landing started with a very disco-heavy theme (one of my favorites), and that more or less updated throughout the 80s. Towards the late-80s, the theme became softer and more soap opera-ish.

Rhoda's theme had quite a few updates for a show that only ran for about four seasons.

Falcon Crest went with a softer, synthesized theme its final season. It lacks the punch that Mark Snow's original theme delivered.

That's something I miss...shows changing their themes every season, either subtle changes or a completely different theme.
