This week's Sports Illustrated will remain mum on one of the biggest stories of the past week -- the return of on again-off again NFL quarterback Brett Favre.

A Sports Illusrated press release promises that the upcoming August 31 issue will make no mention of Favre, who recently returned to the NFL as a Minnesota Viking. SI: "Had your fill of Brett Favre? If so, SI offers an escape, promising zero mention of the Hall of Famer on the pages of this week’s 100% Favre-Free issue."

The cover, which features Usain Bolt, even has a "100% Favre-Free" logo in the corner -- which some might argue does in fact constitute mentioning Favre.

I think one of the reasons Brett keeps retiring/unretiring is because he likes being the center of attention. I admire SI for not making him the center of attention this time. Hopefully Brett will learn a leeson from this. (But probably not)

Good for them. I hope Favre tears his ACL week 1.
