It was on this day eight years ago that Aaliyah was tragically killed in a plane crash. But even today, we still miss her. If you have any words regarding Aaliyah, post them here.

I still can't believe it. She and I were born the same year, and I always thought she was extremely talented and beautiful. May she :rip:.

I can't believe it has been that long. I remember hearing about her death on the radio. RIP .

I have to say that I'm not too familiar with her music but I know her more from her brief film stint of only two movies:

Jet Li's Romeo Must Die
Queen of the Damned

It's unfortunate about Queen because it really isn't a good movie at all and her unexpected death shot this one to be a box office hit at original release.

I could tell that she was on her way up and was going to move on to better things but I guess it just wasn't meant to be...

I remember hearing about that. I wasn't really into her music, but it's still terribly sad. RIP. :(
