What do you guys think of them? Do you think they are safe? Do you think they should be illegal?

I dont have a problem with them. Its a quick way to get some cash. There is one pawn shop here that makes me nervous. A few years ago I was in there selling some stuff and all the employees were strapped. :eek:

It depends. Some are and some aren't. They should be legal. You never know when you might need money.

I agree there are some they are safe and some that aren't. Pawn shops shouldn't be illegal but they should abide by the law. There are couple of well known pawn shops in my area and there is one that has a really bad reputation.
