We have two cats who are spoiled beyond belief, and I love every minute of it. :) I give them crunchie treats every night. They have sliced turkey from the deli a few times a week. I just discovered a product that Fancy Feast puts out called, Appetizers. A tiny can (2 oz) of gourmet delights that they just love (below). Toys, catnip, kitty towers and kitty steps, trees, beds, lots of kisses...my two sweeties, Lily and Cesar have quite the life. Is anyone else having a blast making their pets happy?

Yes...my little baby Lola is spoiled beyond belief. And not just by me. My mother actually buys her things (like little toys and doggie cookies) and treats her just like her grandchildren. My 11 year old actually carries her around everywhere and now the dog won't even walk outside when she is around, she waits to be carried. We put her to bed everynight in her doggie bed with a few toys and a baby blanket. She is our little princess.

I don't. I'm the giver of a zillion nicknames, my dad is the giver of ham and turkey. Guess which person the cats crowd around whenever the refrigerator door is opened?

We have 3 dogs Tia (maltese), Princess (bischon frise), and Daisy (yorkie) and we spoil them to no end. We buy top round roasts at the grocery store and roasted chicken as well. We always have dog treats on hand and they always get table scraps of whatever we're eating. They also have their own pet beds and a zillion toys everywhere. Each time I go to the store I pick a toy up. At Christmas they have their own stockings too.

We have a maltese that we spoil-a little too much (hence, why he's got some weight he needs to lose). Whenever we get kabobs, tri-tip or chicken for dinner, we always put some in his food bowl. I've gotten him so many toys. He sleeps in a doggie bed, but we covered the inside with this comfy fleece blanket-so it's super comfortable for him. During the winter, he's got his own blankie also. Unlimited tummy/ear rubs and he's loves to sit on my lap or bed in the morning (unfortunately, sometimes he comes in and barks as early as 7 because he wants to go up on the bed!). And, when we take him out, he'll get tired so we pick him up. Once, we were crossing the street and he just decided it was time to sit...in the middle of the street. We definitely had to pick him up.

Oh yes, I definitely spoil my cat Duke big time. I change his water at least 6 or 7 times daily. He is right there next to me the moment I get up in the morning for his morning food. Also, I feed him the same Fancy Feast brand that Janice feeds her cat everyday. Duke can't get enough of it.

Pets are, in a way, like our own children. :D

Oh yes. We spoil our cats. I think Romeo and Cuddles should be renamed Spoiled #! & Spoiled #2. j/k. They are so adorable and I can't help, but spoil them. I even pick Romeo up and hold him even though he weighs 16 pounds. I also pick up and hold Cuddles. She's 9 pounds. :cat: :cat:

I definitely spoil my pets. I've been known to pet my animals for an hour at a time, as they purr, and as my dog makes happy grunty noises. lol!! Unfortunately my cat Freddy died on August 19th. She use to lay on my stomache as I slept during the night. I loved that girl, and miss her greatly!! I'm sure she's running free in Heaven though with my dog Salem. :) R.I.P. Freddy!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Freddy, too.:( It's amazing what impact pets have on our lives.

Do I spoil my pets? Absolutely!! Always have treats, Christmas presents, and they even have their own stockings. I know I'm not supposed to do this but I also give them human food. If I'm eating something, they are always sitting in front of me, watching me, and I usually give them something.

Thanks so much for the kind words Jen, and Phoebe, it means alot. In a way it was a relief when she passed, because she was suffering pretty bad, and it was nice to see her finally go and be at peace. I love you Freddy, and you'll always be in my

R.I.P. Freddy!!!
Little Mel, I am so sorry for your loss on Freddy. I know how difficult it is to deal with the loss of a pet. My cat recently died this past June. He was fifteen years old, and he was like a family member to me. I miss him a lot, as I'm sure you miss your Freddy.

I now have a new kitten who I spoil with lots of toys and treats. She is quite a handful. It's been a very long time since I cared for a kitten. Anyway, she has brought so much joy into my life.

Thanks so much Steffy, it is so sweet of you to say this, and to acknowledge my Freddy. :) Fortunately I have other cats to keep me company, but Freddy was always my favorite. Use to love how she'd sneak under my blanket during the Wintertime to keep warm.

I am also incredibly sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. :( Especially the fact that you had him for so long, I know that had to make it even rougher for you. May God rest his soul, and I wish you many wonderful and great years with your new Kitty. Sounds like your new kitten is very lucky to have such a loving owner as you in her life!!

That's so sweet about your Freddy keeping you warm under the blanket. I used to love waking up to find my Ruben laying next to me on top of the blanket. He loved to snuggle. He did a lot of fun tricks, too. Now, he is at peace buried next to my deceased doggie. Maybe they are keeping eachother company.

I'm glad you have other pets to keep you company. My kitten is my new little friend.

It's also cute that you named your female cat Freddy. I used to have a female cat named Albert. LOL.....silly story behind that. Anyway, she's been gone for a very long time.

I still miss Ruben, but it's getting easier every day. When he first died, I couldn't stop crying and I didn't really eat anything for about two weeks. I was too torn up inside. I've only had my new kitten for about a month, and I love her already, but I don't think I could ever love a pet as much as I loved Ruben. I'm just so grateful that he was in my life for as long as he was, as I am sure you were grateful to have your time with your Freddy.

I say yes to that question, my pets are spoiled. I bought them toys but they don't play with them. The female nibbles, loves balled up paper or twist ties from bread. Gambit, the male loves straws. They both sleep with me and both rule the house. Both were born in my yard Nibbles in the geraniums and Gambit was found in the back yard. Their Mom abandon them so I brought them in the house and raised them when they were about a week old. They're five years old now.
