I know this has probably been discussed (it certainly has on the emmy forums), but I always found it insane that this show was never nominated for "Best Comedy Series."

The theory is that the emmy voters were snooty rich snobs and didn't like or get the blue collar humor, even though the show was number 2 or 1 for several seasons, and the writing won a peabody.

Thank goodness that the acting was acknowledged, although I feel that Roseanne deserved more than one emmy and Goodman certainly deserved one (his episode choices were always bad though).

Regardless, I really hope that this show is considered one of the greatest of all time.. I watch the reruns now and am amazed at how complex and interesting they made the show. I was a a kid when this won on, and loved it, and now as an adult I like it even more, as it really accurately reflects family life in America.

I think Roseanne, herself, is a genius for her contribution.:)

I don't care much for awards, I like the show and that's all that matters. :)
