View Full Version : FINALLY coming to DVD! TV_Fan 08-18-2009, 04:41 PM Sometime next year! http://www.shoutfactory.com/community/2170/thread.aspx#8775 Marvo301 08-18-2009, 04:45 PM Yeah for Shout Factory!! They have come through yet again! robby76 08-18-2009, 09:58 PM Come through? They've done better than that! This has been number 1 on my wants list since the beginning of tv dvds. Excellent news. Shout Factory are LEGENDS! TV_Fan 08-18-2009, 10:47 PM I never thought I'd see this, especially since they said they tried in the past and the rights holders didn't want to see it get released. I have a feeling Mr Belvedere played a role. Regardless, I am going to pick this up. Time to pour on more 80's cheese :D:D Small_Wonder_Lover 08-19-2009, 04:05 PM I KNEW this day would come! This is fantastic news! I'll bet among all SW fans, there is once again love and laughter everywhere! Thank God someone finally went against Bonnie Brindle and said "Yes ya ya yes yes yes!" to this! I am so buying this! Nobody can stop me! No na na no no no!" catlover79 08-19-2009, 08:25 PM Gosh, I haven't seen this show since the mid-1990s. I remember watching it when it was on the first time back in the 80s. I wonder how it will hold up watching it through adult eyes. I wonder why so few cast members vanished into obscurity after the show ended. I am happy that I got Emily Schulman's autograph a couple of years ago. She is now a talent agent in LA under her married name of Emily Webster. Marvo301 08-19-2009, 08:30 PM Gosh, I haven't seen this show since the mid-1990s. I have a feeling this won't hold up very well compared to other 80's sitcoms. None the less I am still going to be getting it. I don't remember all the episodes but I remember enjoying it when I watched it. catlover79 08-19-2009, 10:57 PM I have a feeling this won't hold up very well compared to other 80's sitcoms. None the less I am still going to be getting it. I don't remember all the episodes but I remember enjoying it when I watched it. Yeah, I know what you mean. Only 2 80s sitcoms that I've seen recently on DVD have really stood the test of time - Mr. Belvedere and Perfect Strangers! MacLeaper 08-20-2009, 02:28 AM AWESOME!!! I love Small Wonder. Loved it as a kid and love it now.:) I definitely want to get this one on DVD when it releases. It's great to finally see a company releasing this show! This gives me hope that some of my other beloved '80s show might finally make it to DVD too.:) comedyfreak 08-20-2009, 03:47 AM This is very good news! Can't wait to pick this one up. I haven't seen the show since it first aired. Scoobiedoo30 08-20-2009, 02:15 PM This is the most wonderful news I heard TV_Fan 08-20-2009, 02:25 PM Yeah, I know what you mean. Only 2 80s sitcoms that I've seen recently on DVD have really stood the test of time - Mr. Belvedere and Perfect Strangers! Well 2 80's sitcoms stood better than the test of time for me & were BETTER than I remembered-Mr Belvedere & Gimme A Break. Others, like Perfect Strangers, were nice to watch in a nostolgic way but weren't really as good as I remembered them. I have no such expectations of Small Wonder. I just want my fix of nostolgia and will try hard NOT to view it from an adult's eyes. catlover79 08-20-2009, 02:37 PM Well 2 80's sitcoms stood better than the test of time for me & were BETTER than I remembered-Mr Belvedere & Gimme A Break. TV_Fan 08-23-2009, 04:34 PM You excited about-"sometime next year"?-lol That can be December 31, 2010. Well he said sometime EARLY next year but I wasn't as specific  The Mad Hatter 08-25-2009, 11:57 PM I can't wait for this to come out on DVD! I have watched episodes of Small Wonder on Youtube and I actually think I like it more now than I did as a kid. robby76 08-31-2009, 09:07 PM If you have any suggestions for the dvd set, then the producer of the dvds from Shout Factory (Kristin) is now on the Shout forums to hear your ideas. She's also a fan of Small Wonder! TV_Fan 10-16-2009, 02:33 PM Shout! Factory is having a contest for fan submission artwork: http://www.shoutfactory.com/community/2170/thread.aspx#10005 tazz765 10-17-2009, 11:14 PM Shout has this (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.php?pid=2624739&op=1&view=all&subj=157855015945&aid=-1&auser=0&oid=157855015945&id=57640591309) image on its Facebook page. Not sure if this is the final cover art for Season One or not. robby76 10-18-2009, 02:43 AM Shout has this (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/photo.php?pid=2624739&op=1&view=all&subj=157855015945&aid=-1&auser=0&oid=157855015945&id=57640591309) image on its Facebook page. Not sure if this is the final cover art for Season One or not. I'd be okay if that was the final artwork for the dvds. The blue is a little bit glaring, but it's nice enough. Love the pic and general design though. webster1980stvshow 10-18-2009, 03:59 AM That is awesome Small Wonders rock!!! Tiffany Brissette was so great in that show as the robot girl, cute. Too bad i was born in 1987 and was not a true 80s kid, i was a 90s kid. TV shows sitcoms were so great back then especially kids shows back then. I will get this when it comes out on dvd. To Tiffany Brissette fans: The only special I know off Tiffany Brissette was on, was a Christmas Puttin' On The Kids Special in Dec 1986, i have got the footage but only the part with child actress Heather O'Rourke footage on there (she was on the show as well:) ) it was won on ebay by a friend from the Heather memorable site. I have got a picture through, Heather & Tiffany were standing together (pic). That's how i knew she was on there. Bachu 10-21-2009, 03:17 PM I think the cover is awful. It looks very suggestive even though it is not as Vicki is a robot and not a girl but the cover does feature a young actress looking at the camera whilst facing away with the back of her dress undone with a big smile on her face. I know we can see a plastic back and electronics but still, I hope they change it. comedyfreak 10-23-2009, 04:16 AM Can't wait til it comes out, haven't seen it since its original run. |
