In the episode "The apartment" Janet and Terri both got upset because they thought Jack was having an affair with Daphne, which he wasn't. But even if he was, why should Janet and Terri be upset? It's none of their business. Like Chrissy said to Janet when Jack stood them up at Janet's party in the first season, "Jack is just a third of the rent."

I think they were more upset over the matter that they helped him with his shopping and chores because he said he was tired and they find out he was sleeping around with some girl. I mean he wasn't really but they thought he was and they felt like they got played.

You're right they should have acted like adults. Maybe I'm wrong but Janet and Terri sometimes acts like Mary and Lucy did in the early seasons of 7th heaven
