My Name Is Earl ended this season with a cliffhanger ending. The Episode was about Earl searching for Dodge's dad, only to find that he himself is Dodge's dad, as a result of a halloween party years before where Earl was dressed in a skeleton costume. However, along the way Earl also discovers that Darnell isn't the father of Earl Jr. The show ended as "To be continued". Due to the cancellation of the show it is unknown if or how this will be resolved. How do you think this would be resolved.

I have finally watched the fourth season.

One way to look at the finale, is that after four years of believing in Karma, Earl was finally rewarded with a son. He's an actual dad. I would have liked to see how that played out next season. Earl probably would have tried to be more fatherly to Dodge.

As for the actual cliffhanger, I have no clue. Are there any other black characters on the show? She seems to know right away who the father was. Why oh why did the people who make "Earl" have to end with a cliffhanger? Sure they figured they'd be coming back, but still. They didn't do any cliffhangers in the previous three season finales. Why now? Making a cliffhanger hoping that that will get a network to renew them is stupid and an insult to the fans, who have to live with one of their favorite shows ending with a cliffhanger.

Let's get a spin-off "Our Names Are Joy and Turner", lol.

I would have liked to have found out about this cliffhanger as productions play roulette and to be continued storyplots thinking they'll get picked up.

I read they were promised a fifth season, because they wanted to make sure before they wrote a cliffhanger, even.

They just need to make the movie, already!
