A fine old ep from '56 where Ozzie gets besotted with a Children's TV show that almost borders on becoming a bad halibut (ouch!) Well he drinks a gazillon ounces of Sea Foam root beer and gets his sub. But the show & Capt. Salty thinks Ozzie is a boy and ol Ozzie wins a bike.

I like this ep in particular because it shows the child like joy an adult can sometimes have. Even though we grow up we should never forget some simple delights - like cartoons and a favorite toy.

Your thoughts on this ep?

That's one of my favorite episodes! I like the way Harriet and the boys gently tease Ozzie about liking the show and sending off for the submarine.

That was kinda cute. And him winning the bike and showing up was funny too! It is a great ep!

Now that you mention it, could be. The Capt. did look familiar. I'm going to go back and watch the ep again or zoom to the end to see if its Jack Wagner.

Before the Malt Shop became a regular hang out for the Nelsons, Jack Wagner could be seen in many episodes playing a variety of characters. And that is him as Capt Salty. Also from looking at the credits a long time ago, as well as just looking at the boy and Jack themselves, I think the little boy with Capt Salty is Jack's real son.

Seafom rootbeer is the best. Seafoam rootbeer beats the rest. Glub glub glub Everybody glub glub glub.

I shall have to go asea again to watch this - I NEVER really noticed it was J.W. until Vito pointed it out. Plan to go underwater and give this ep another view 2-nite. Glub glub glub!!:lol:

I think I now know why I didn't recognize it was Jack: he's much thinner and it is wierd to see him out of context - I'm so used to seeing him delivering malts & flipping hamburgers!
