Kirstie Alley is fuming about a tabloid report that suggests she's so overweight she has just four years to live.

The National Enquirer alleged 58-year-old Alley's cycle of binge eating and yo-yo dieting had "shaved years off her life span." The report, published this week, includes a quote from a doctor who claims she "may only live to 62".

The article has infuriated Alley, who has taken to the internet to defend herself and ask why overweight male stars aren't subjected to the same press intrusion.

Alley writes on her Twitter.com page, "I wonder if Kevin James, John Goodman, Alec Baldwin, James Gandolfini, K-Fed, Bill Shatner, etc are dying in four years or only FAT actresses."

I can't stand her, but she does have a point. But I wouldn't put anything past The National Enquirer. Weren't they the ones who reported that Patrick Swayze is "dying" right after he was diagnosed with cancer? Just pathetic. However, if I were her, I would be hurt by these reports as well. I never noticed that before, but she's right about male actors not having to constantly hear about their weight. I guess extra weight on men makes them "distinguished"????? BTW, I'm only talking about celebrities, so I don't mean to sound insensitive.

Hmmm.. On the other hand, I hate to say it but Kirstie kind of brought this on herself. I'm not saying that it's her fault for being overweight, but she did have that show called "Fat Actress". I've heard of laughing at yourself but that's kind of insulting for her to do a show like that. Just the title turned me off.

I don't really consider any of those actors to be fat. Alec used to be a lot thinner in the face, but so did William Shatner. Still it's nice to see that they are able to have continued success, unlike so many actors out there.

John Goodman, Kevin James, and K-Fed are most definitely fat. Goodman has slimmed down some though.
