Are there any cases where those interviewed or involved have been speculated to be on psychedellic drugs? DMT trips, which can sometimes occur naturally in the waking brain, can definitley resemble alien abduction. DMT trips during REM sleep especially. Has anyone noticed that someone was possibly just tripping when they saw things?

Well... the Jeffery MacDonald case certainly alleged that there were folks tripping on LSD who were actually responsible for the murders.

I'm not really a big fan of the UFO segments, and don't recall much about them.

The one that I remember the best is the guys who were on a camping trip and were out in the canoe at night when they lost an amount of time and experienced a UFO abduction.

Coulda just been that those dudes were out in the woods smoking dope. lol Who knows?

Then there was the sick lady who saw a tiny UFO come in her window, pass over her body, and cure her disease. Don't know if that was wishful thinking, drugs she was on, brought on by a mental thing...

Does watching the show while high on drugs and/or alcohol count?

LOL. Saw that one coming, but not from you, Justin! :)

Nice to see you back. How are things? How's your caseload? I figured they must be keeping you busy since you haven't been around these parts in awhile.

I always thought the hippie art dudes in the canoe were probably tripping on acid. And I killed a 12 pack this past New Year's Eve watching UM all night til' the ball dropped if that counts.

True story:

I once went on a drunken rant about Judy Himes to a date once a long time ago. He was born in Omaha. As soon as he let that little bit of slurred info drop, I sputtered over my (fourth) glass of wine the infamous line about Judy's alleged status, and proceeded to have a discussion about the case with him. All I clearly remember was that his eyes got really wide, and when I was finished said, "They better f*** George Hadju up, man."

We're still friends.

Wow. I remember this time my father and I were having dinner together and had a few drinks to go with it. We began talking politics and some of the problems that exist in the judicial system. Somehow we got on the subject of plea bargaining and I began ranting about how it can entice innocent people into taking plea deals for crimes they didn't commit. You can probably see where I'm going with this. Of course I brought up the Glen Consagra case and explained all the various intricacies there. The entire time he was giving me this look like I was a couple bricks short of a load.

Well maybe I'm off but my impression was this thread was about people on UM that were possibly high. Strange topic but I will submit that I think Leonard Rizzo was on something during the filming. He seemed very subdued during the interview, possibly chemically so. We also know by reading articles about the case that this "seizure" he was having on the couch when the cops got there was really a drug overdose so that just makes me more convinced he was on something during the filming.

Of all the random oddball topics I've read on this board over the years, I think this one takes the cake.

I was really hoping this story would end with: "He is now my husband." :)

I am loving this thread, haha.

My husband and I went on a roadtrip from California out to Utah a couple of weeks ago. My hubs isn't nearly as paranoid/cautious as I am (I grew up watching UM, what can I say?) and so I feel it is my duty to educate him on such matters. :D

Well, a few nights before we left, I gots a little tipsy and made him watch the blind river rest stop segment as well as the Dexter Stefonek segment. All while making semi-drunken commentary on the perils of stopping at rest stops and how danger looks around every tree on the open road.

He knows I mean well.

I always thought Judy Groezinger was high in her UM interview.

What about Crystal Spencer's friend? She seemed kind of loopy.

I also think Curtis Croft sampled a bit of his own merchandise.

Took the words right out of my mouth. As soon as I saw the thread title I immediately thought of her.

What about that guy who was the last one to see Kurt McFall alive? He was that cult leader, a total loon and for sure high on something...

I never thought he was high. I think his explanations actually made a lot of sense with regard to Kurt's death which was most likely an accident.

The guy who killed Dorothy Donovan was high on crack (I think) throughout the whole ordeal.

Sorta on this topic....

Chuck Morgan was abducted, assaulted, and returned home. He couldn't speak and wrote his communication to his wife. He told her that the kidnappers had painted the back of his throat with hallucinogetic drugs that could make him go crazy or kill him. About 2 months later, he was found shot to death with his own gun. Murder? Suicide?

Frank Olsen was the government scientist who jumped to his death from a tenth story window. It was claimed that the gov't had experimented on him and other men with LSD in a completely uncontrolled and bizarre experiment. Did he kill himself? Experience a bad trip? Pushed out the window?

Was "Gabby" the guy interviewed in silhouette regarding the bones of a murder victim found in his footlocker, high during his interview, or just really dumb?

I'm pretty sure that Devin Williams, the trucker who drove his rig into the woods and started acting all weird and freaked out before he wandered off and vanished, must have taken some real bad drugs or had them slipped to him by someone else.

Hahahahahahaha!! I love this. I also love that a "people on UM just really high" post gets started by a person with the username stickynugs. Way to be discreet, my friend.

I'd be willing to bet that the rapper Young Lay nahmsayin had himself a bit of the nahmsayin sticky icky nahmsayin before he nahmsayin was interviewed nahmsayin

I was going to pipe up about that, but wanted to see how long it took for somebody else to share the laugh with!:)

Ah ha ha ha ha!!! wow... I'm sorry. but your post seriously made me crack up imagining that scenario! heh. :) awesome.

I think the one fellow who talked about his girlfriend becoming possessed and seducing him was on something. I'm not sure though because the parents seemed to believe their house ws haunted also. or maybe there was a gas leak in the house?
