I have seen this episode a couple of times and have always felt that Doug and his mom let Carrie off too easily. I like Carrie but she was way out of line doing that. It was not her place or any of her business.

And her excuses for doing it were lame.

Is this the episode where Doug & Carrie are visiting Doug's parents? And their dog "Rocky" is not the same dog Doug grew up with?

I thought Carrie telling the secrets was sort of a good thing.
