I was at a Salvation Army Thrift Store and found all 9 seasons for $7 each which seemed like a good buy. I was in a hurry and didn't have enough time to inspect all the discs. I saw that the 1st & 2nd seasons looked fine but still couldn't decide whether to buy it. The cashier said they had got them in earlier that day and another person was interested but couldn't get them until Friday and they don't hold anything unless you put a deposit on it.
I told her that I had never seen the show except for about 15 minutes of one episode. She said it was really good but if I wasn't sure I could buy the first season and if I liked it I could get the rest. I said no to that because there was no guarantee that the others would be here when I came back so I bought it and with the 10% discount i get, I paid about $58.00 for it.
I got a chance to inspect all the discs earlier today. None are missing but several have light scratches. I have machine that can make the discs look almost as good as new. I can clean and keep them or I can take them back for a store credit. The money isn't really an issue because I found a few other items that will more than pay for the dvds so I won't have anything in them plus part of the money goes to a worthwhile cause so everyone involved in the sale benefits from it.
