Michael Vick to Appear on "60 Minutes"
Former NFL Star Speaks Out This Sunday, Aug. 16, 7 P.M. ET/PT
(CBS) Former pro-football star Michael Vick speaks to CBS Sports NFL Today Anchor James Brown on 60 Minutes in his first interview since he admitted two years ago to running a dogfighting ring - a crime that landed him in federal prison for 18 months and got him suspended from the NFL.
The interview, conducted Monday, Aug. 10 in Virginia, will be broadcast on 60 Minutes this Sunday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
The ex-Atlanta Falcon's quarterback was conditionally re-instated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on July 27, a week after he was released from federal custody. If a team is interested in him, Vick could be playing again in a regular league game by the sixth week of the NFL season.
The segment will also include interviews with Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of the United States, the country's largest organization dedicated to the protection of animals. Tony Dungy, the former NFL coach who will be a special advisor to Vick, will also be interviewed

Marvo301 08-12-2009, 07:54 PM I think there are a lot of people who will never respect Michael Vick after what he did to those poor dogs.
Schmoopie 08-12-2009, 10:39 PM I think he's ruined his image for good and I hope to God that no NFL team is interested in him. ESPECIALLY the Seahawks!!!

As soon I heard that, Kyle, I thought of you!! At least it wasn't the Browns!!
TVFactFan 08-13-2009, 10:28 PM I never really considered him dangerous because he was one-dimensional. Below Average Passer and Above Average Runner

He's basically a RB in a QB's body. He's playing the wrong position.

That's what I've always thought! He should have been a running back.

He probably would have made a good one too. Not only was he fast, but he was agile.
Marvo301 08-14-2009, 12:37 AM I saw a press conference with Andy Reid earlier this evening and he was talking about other ways of using Michael Vick other than at QB. So we might see him as a running back yet.
Wreckless 08-14-2009, 01:51 AM ^ That's what I said. He probably won't be a QB. At least he won't do things QBs do.

He probably wanted to kill two birds with one stone. He probably figured how impressive his talent was, and figured if he had a nice arm he could to it, and if he could make it to the NFL, he was set.
Not a bad plan/idea I would say.

A little bit of it. I sincerely hope he is really remorseful, and not just feeding us- the fans, the press etc. bullsh*t, just to get back in the league and get money/a second chance.
