I know - and they died far too young. It's so sad to me that their parents outlived them. I know Jett Travolta wasn't an actor, but I felt so awful for his parents, I can't think of anything worse than burying a child.

John Ritter's death was the hardest. I couldn't believe it for a good while. I had literally grown up watching Three's Company with my mom. He was part of my childhood and I just couldn't believe he was gone, and so suddenly.
I loved Heath Ledger. Him and Natasha were taken too soon, and too suddenly as well. No warning, no nothing. And like someone said, they left behind young children, which makes it that much more heartbreaking.
EDIT: I know this was a while ago, but Lucille Ball's death hit me pretty hard as well. I love her, and I used to watch I Love Lucy when I was younger too. I always thought she was alive though. One year, I think I was in the 3rd grade, I did a report on her and I was reading one of those little books about her from the library, and I read that she had died. I couldn't believe it. I seriously thought she was still alive, because I saw her on my TV screen every day.

dawsongirl 08-11-2009, 10:19 PM These were in the 90s, but for the pure fact that I remember seeing something on TV about their deaths AND not knowing who they were then, yet I STILL remember seeing those things, I say they count.
Bill Bixby in 1993 and Elizabeth Montgomery in 1995. Well, I did know Elizabeth from the Edna Buchanan movies, but that's it.

I heard he was considering leaving Scientology because he feels it might have had something to do with Jett's health and death. Now you KNOW he was shaken hard if that's the case.
