I applied to this place in jersey called Heritages. It's like a mini mart, a 711 type place around here. But anyways, they called me back about the application and I'm set up and going on an interview this Tuesday morning. Wish Me Luck! :D

btw, I'm debating on what to wear. Definitely something casual. I'm thinking a button up shirt.

Thanks to everybody, and all of my friends here for all of their help during this period of time in my life. I truly appreciate it, and you all.

Maybe I'm old school but what's the matter with a shirt and tie? You can always ask on the interview what's the standard attire. First impressions are so important.

Harvey

P.S. Good luck

No, a shirt and tie is great. Yeah I agree. Thanks Harvey, and Mickey.

I personally don't see the need for a tie especially for a job in a convenience store. If you're being interviewed for a cashier or stocking position then casual attire should suffice. I would only consider a tie if it were a managerial position. This of course is totally up to you and I wish you well no matter what you decide.

Good Luck.....

Thanks Charles, I appreciate it. Yeah I agree with you. I think I might go with a button up shirt. But something nice, doesn't have to be a tie, to make for a good first impression.

Good luck, Kyle. :)

I would say dress smart/casual. Most employers, even for the more ordinary jobs, like people to dress nicely for the interview, as it shows that they care about getting the job. So, something that is nice and fairly smart - I'd also advise getting there about five minutes early too.

No jeans allowed!!

Just wear nice slacks and maybe a button down shirt.

EDIT: Oh and good luck.

I would go with a shirt, slacks and a tie. I always wear a dress, no matter what type of position I'm interviewing for. I interviewed years ago for a job at the Disney store and there were three of us being interviewed at the same time. The girl next to me had on jeans and a t-shirt as did the guy. I thought they looked like slobs, personally. As the saying goes "You only get one chance to make a first impression." I was called back less than a week later. However at that point, I didn't want the job at all, because Disney is VERY strict and I didn't want to work in that type of environment. Still it was nice to be called back and I seriously think it was due to my appearance.

Oh, I almost forgot!!! :bonk: Good luck and I hope you get the job!!!
