Interestingly, this is a rare successful Ginger seduction of a visitor. What do you think happened? Igor goes off to follow her; that's all we see. It's hard to believe Ginger followed through as part of the plan, but then again??? What would you say happened supposedly off screen?

It's also odd that the men get together at night for a meeting, not knowing what they will do and then they come up with the fake vodka scheme. Yet, Ginger is already prepared to enter upon Thirston's signal. How was she already dubbed the spy before they even came up with that plan.

I don't get Gilligan's comment to the girls that not being able to close the suitcase is silly. What, has he never packed before? Or is it because only girls have that problem.

I'm amazed at how they can fit even some of Lovey's coats in a seemingly average sized suitcase.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, the whole "time " discussion at the end makes no sense.

As I have asked before, what is Gilligan mouthing to himself in his hammock at the show's opening?

I read somewhere once that someone saw a glitch in the fact that Ivan was introduced as not being able to speak English but then he and Igor are seen conversing in English later. What do you think of that?

I think all Igor probably got to say after his tryst with Ginger was, "I don't see something!"

Perhaps Gilligan thinks the girls' problem is silly because he is not in the habit of packing big several full-length fur coats into his suitcase.

You're right: the time question at the end makes no sense. Didn't Gilligan bring them there at the right time? And does no one else on the island own a watch, for heaven's sake?

Gilligan does a bit of excellent spy work here. He swims, unseen, to the capsule, distracts both cosmonauts (twice), locates the bottle, marks it, replaces the vodka with water and gets away, all without being suspected.

I think it's implied that the cosmonauts deliberately don't reveal Ivan's ability to speak English because he is very suspicious of the castaways. He probably hopes they will slip up in front of him if they think he can't understand them. However, the conversation Gilligan overhears is definitely a glitch, though a difficult one for the writers to solve. The cosmonauts have to speak English so that Gilligan will be able to overhear their plan, but it makes no sense that the two would not speak Russian when they believe they are alone. Perhaps they should have had Ivan say he wanted to practice his English.
