He seem like he just hooked up with her for money. I know Amanda Bearse was a lesbian in real life, but her character seemed like one. She started dressing like a man, and Jefferson didn't seem like he was sexually attracted to Marcy. He looked embarrassed to be seen with her at times. I know he cracked jokes about her looks, but I don't think he was attracted to her.

I think Jefferson was only into Marcy mainly for her money, but I think there was some attraction. Also Marcy to me came off as sex crazed. On some show she would brag about how many times a day she and Jefferson had sex, and I remember in an early episode when they were at some high school football game, Marcy was commenting on how she would let the guys on the team have their way with her.

And I guess they just gave her that surname because it rhymed with Marcy, and, therefore was easy to remember. :lol:

It was definitely a different relationship than the one she had with her first husband, Steve.

Marcy went through some stages with her looks:

Seasons One thru four: She was looking cute.

Seasons Five through six: She has sex appeal

Seasons seven: She had the casual housewife look.

Seasons Eight through eleven: She had that ridiculous femenist look.


When Marcy was single, she was looking hot. When she married Jeff, she was still hot and they had some hot and heavy moments but then that kinda fizzled out. During the last season she did give Jeff a rundown of what his birthday plans would be like. One of the plans was to have sex in which she would be doing all the work. He seemed to have liked that idea. LOL.

Yeah, I never really bought Marcy and Jefferson as a couple. They had about as much chemistry as Kelly and Stuart on Coach. :eek:

No I don't believe he was. He could be attracted to her at times, but mainly it was the money. Jefferson was basically the "gigolo" type.

I do believe that he was attracted to her... and her money in the beginning. The physical attraction kinda wore off and came back every now and again in the last years of the show.

Marcy is one of my favorite characters but I hated the looks she had during the last four seasons. Last season she did have a better hairdo. I wish she had her look from one of the earlier seasons or from season five at least.

I agree that I think there was some attraction between the two of them. However, I think Jefferson was more interested in Marcy's money than he was in being with her. This is a reason I was never fond of Jefferson, Steve was better suited for her because I feel he actually cared and loved her in a way that was pure and real..Jefferson was never like with Marcy at least from the episodes I have watched and I have seasons 1-9 of the series.
