It is now listed as "currently unavailable". Don't tell me VEI screwed up their one and only release for the year. Jeez, they had just 1 season to go before completing this series. What the hell happened? :confused:

oh no. I preordered that too. I guess I will have to find an "alternate" source for season 6.

I'm gonna do the same now. I was holding off on getting it through a trader because the official dvd release was announced. How could they mess up the final season like this? I've e-mailed VEI and they haven't responded. TSOD.com has no info. Amazon doesn't seem to know much either. What a way to release something?! I'm not getting involved in anymore VEI releases. They really are the worst (yes, even worse than Sony) in releasing tv-on-dvd.

So I take it no one was interested in this release today besides myself and cajunhillbilly??? How did it get so high in the sales rank at amazon in Canada? Something is very fishy about this whole thing. Is VEI on the level? :lol:

I also pre-ordered Kate and Allie. It's the only season I am missing. I havent received any word by email either.

This is typical VEI. It's happened with Gimme a Break: Season 2, Stingray, The Stockard Channing Show and Cobra. We may not hear what happened for several days, if at all. It really is a shame because, like Ron Ron said, it is the only missing season. It's too bad their customer service is like this. I don't know who they are marketing this product to if they can't answer a single e-mail.

I received an e-mail from amazon. Season 6 has been delayed but they do not have a new release date yet. I was told it could be anywhere from several weeks to several months. This is why they are not accepting any orders currently until they can fulfill the orders they have received. Apparently, they have received many orders for Season 6. Hopefully, it will be sooner than later. The waiting continues...

We're hearing reports that it's being delayed by 2 weeks.

I don't think so. I don't think amazon received any stock at all. They either weren't produced fast enough for the deadline or not delivered or something like that. If I hear anything new, I'll be sure to post it for everyone.

I just got that e-mail too. It would be nice for VEI to give us an approximate date of when to expect it. They're not communicating with anyone about this for some reason. I'm quickly losing interest. They really dropped the ball on this one.

I hope they don't start treating it like it's cancelled. It would be such a shame to do this on the last season of the show. I wonder where the 2-week delay notice came from. Over at tvshowsondvd.com, they didn't know anything about it. A 2-week delay would mean it should be released on August 18. Somehow, I am taking that with a grain of salt. ;)

The information on the delay came directly from our VEI contact, Art Starr.

A friend of mine recorded high-quality episodes from digital and is letting me borrow them this weekend. I may end up cancelling this one. Too little too late from VEI. :thumbsdow

I just received an e-mail from Tony at VEI and he told me the release has actually been delayed until November 3rd. Disappointing but, at least, we now know. This has been one major blunder on the part of the studio.
