Hi, Everybody:

I have a few questions about the sitcom, "Flo."

1.) Did any of the cast members from "Alice" ever apear on "Flo?" I could be wrong, but I could have sworn that Mel & Vera appeared in the very first episode, or one of the episodes. Is that true?

2.) Did Flo still say "Kiss My Grits?" And, did she have any new saying on the show?

3.) Did Flo ever make any references to any of the people from Mel's Diner?

Thanks,

Jonathan

1) Only "Mel" appeared in a 1981 episode- the other "ALICE" cast members did not.

2) Flo kept saying her catch phrase right through the series- the viewers expected that, and Polly wasn't about to disappoint them.

3) Yes, but only in the episode when Mel turns up, I believe. This was supposed to be a "separate" series from "ALICE" [as "THE GREAT GILDERSLEEVE" was from "FIBBER McGEE & MOLLY" on radio], and very little (if ANY) of Flo's previous life in Phoenix was ever referred to during the entire run.

I think the "Kiss my Grits" catchphrase should have been left on Alice. It was no need to say it on Flo

I noticed Flo seemed to say "Kiss my Grits!" less on Alice during her later days at the diner... "When Donkeys Fly!" seemed to replace it
