I never knew about most of them. I knew about William Shatner, Peter Jennings, Lorne Green, and Mike Meyers, but not the others.

I think that Gilda Radner from "SNL" also was and Joe Flaherty from "SCTV" and "THE KING OF QUEENS" also is.

Also, Mary Livingstones real name was Zelda Marx-back in the 30s, on Jack Bennys radio show they had a "win a date with Jack Benny" plot for a few episodes. Jack suggested that his wife Zelda play the part of the winner; who was named "Mary Livingstone". Then they decided to make her a regular as Jacks girlfriend. That's how come everyone thinks her name was really Mary Livingstone.
In fact, since everyone though that; she had her name legally changed to it.

That's quite a list. Some of them I knew about, others I did not. Other U.S.
stars who hailed from Canada include: Hee Haw's Gordie Tapp, Rich Little, Hank Snow, Anne Murray,
and Celine Dion. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Actually I'm pretty sure Gilda Radner was American, but worked at Second City and The Olde Firehall in Toronto honing her skills with Akroyd and the boys (and then Chicago with Belushi).

That guy that's married to Tori Spelling (forget his name) is Canuck and so is the hot guy who's Halle Berry's boyfriend/father of her child.

Katherine O'Hara is another SCTV alumni (Best In Show)

Both of Kiefer's parents are Canadian, so even though he was born outside of the country, Kiefer is also Canadian. He lived in Canada from the age of 8 til he was 16. So he grew up here.

Sorry - born in England, lived in Toronto from the age of 4 until 15 and starting his acting career in Canada as well.

He has dual citizenship - British and Canadian so he fully qualifies. ;)

David Steinberg from "The Smothers Brothers" is from Winnipeg. He was the satirical preacher (Ironically...Steinberg's Jewish)!

I wonder how many Canadians help make the show "South Park"?

And speaking of "South Park", I have a few Cartoon Characters that claim the country of Canada home....

Terrence and Phillip (South Park)
Klondike Kat (Underdog)
Loopy de Loop (Hanna-Barbera)

I wonder how many other Canadian Cartoon Characters are there that's on US TV?
