Out of nowhere, my air conditioner suddenly stopped working. The display still comes up when I turn it on and it starts up then it doesn't do anything! I cleaned my filter and everything, nothing works! Now, I am panicking because I have a cat and all I have is a fan to keep us cool! So, what should I do? I want to know if this could be an easy fix before I call someone. This is one of the reasons I HATE SUMMER!! Could someone please help me and give me some tips please?

Brownie-sorry I'm not knowledgeable about air conditioners, but I hope yours gets fixed soon. Ours was having problems last summer, and it was not fun.

Damn, I wish I could help you out, but unfortunately I have no knowledge of air conditioners. I can definitely sympathize with you though. I went 10 years without air conditioning, and having it now, I don't know how I made it through without it. You might want to search google or yahoo for possible answers, but if that doesn't work, I'd call a repairman right away. I wish you the best, I really do, and hope you get this problem resolved soon!! Sorry I can't help you out!! :(

Could someone please help me and give me some tips please?Don't worry abt your cat,as long as it's not in the hot sun it will be fine. Ask yourself, what did animals do before there was a/c? Animals adjust. Sounds like your a/c lost it's freon. Window units are fairly cheap,If you don't have alot of money check the second hand stores, they might have one. Good Luck. :)
