He sort of disappeared for awhile. For years, the people doing the old Lucy conventions in Burbank tried to locate him. Eventually they succeeded, and he agreed to come speak on the panel at one of the conventions. But I think that's the only time he did it. From what I recall, he was living with his family in a small desert town in California, and working in a field that had nothing to do with the entertainment business. I think he's focused on the present and leading a "normal" life and not much interested in reminiscing and being defined by his childhood and less-than-normal showbiz past.

Apparently, he is currently a hydro-geologist and living in California according to the Everything Lucy blog. :)

I wish Ralph Hart and Candy Moore were with Jimmy Garratt for his interview.

Hopefully, they have saved interviews with either or both actors for future sets. I really hope Season 2 is already in the process of being made because I am anxious to see more episodes. So looking forward to Season 3 with the Lucy and Viv are Camp Cooks episode.

One book that I bought a few months ago, The Lucy Book (1999), has a couple quotes from Ralph Hart among more frequent quotes from Jimmy Garrett and Candy Moore, but in the acknowledgements page in the front of the book, the author thanked Jimmy and Candy among many others for their personal interviews for the book, but not Ralph, so that leads me to believe that any quotes from Ralph came from other sources closer to the time of the show's production. I also hope that he will be involved in future DVDs of the show (would have to be season 2 or 3), but I respect his right to live a normal non-showbiz life for himself and his family if he so desires.
