Scoobiedoo30 07-27-2009, 12:15 PM I am glad to see Reba in the Mornings from 9:00 am until 11:00 am CT Time.
Hmmm...interesting changes. Frasier got bumped back an hour in the morning, not really surprised. At least it keeps its 12-1am airings.
icecream 07-27-2009, 12:33 PM Ugh, I don't like these changes. I thought Less Than Perfect was going to get a better slot? And Frasier gets pushed earlier. I bet Medium doesn't do as well from 7-9 as Reba has. At least Housewives is doing well.
Pavan 07-27-2009, 01:29 PM Less Than Perfect was originally going to get 1-2am, but they changed their mind. The original fall schedule was way different than this one. That's why I don't start the fall schedules so early. This is the perfect time to start them.
Also, originally Wife Swap was just 11am, with DH 12-2pm, Grey's 2-4pm and Medium 4-6pm.
ryan423 07-27-2009, 02:27 PM These changes are atrosious!
First off, I'm mad at Lifetime for how they handled How I Met Your Mother. Obviously, it's not gonna do well paired up with a family show like Reba. It's a young-adult comedy. It would do great in a morning block or in early afternoon paired with a comedy such as Will & Grace...maybe even off primetime at 11pm at night paired with Will & Grace at 12. Lifetime has not exactly made their case that they were rebuilding as a network for modern comedy. I don't remember exactly where I read about their strategy to re-brand but I did read it somwhere.
I also don't like Reba in mornings. What family is home to watch a FAMILY SITCOM from 10am-12pm? The problem with Reba was how much it aired at once on Lifetime. I'm a huge fan, but I'm not gonna sit down and watch for three straight hours! Comedies fit best in the dinner hour. Adult dramas such as Grey's and Housewives belong from 10pm-12am. Lifetime needs more contemporary comedies to air alongside HIMYM. I bet it would do great paired with "The New Adventures of Old Christine" once it hits Lifetime. Another show that would pair nicely, although far away from enough episodes for syndication is "Rules of Engagement."
Entguy1 07-27-2009, 02:48 PM Has "Still Standing" been dropped from syndication as well? It's not on the fall lineup for the CW station which has been carrying it here.
JulieSomoski 07-27-2009, 04:08 PM Not sure what to make of these changes. Reba moving to mornings is kina shocking - I just can't see it doing well there at all. I had a feeling we'd see Medium in the evenings - it just isn't an afternoon kind of show. Considering how badly Grey's Anatomy repeats, I bet we'll see Reba back in the evenings some way or another.
Overall, the only real bad change is Reba in the mornings. The rest of the schedule isn't that bad. Medium 7-9pm is at least enjoyable for me, and their afternoons of Wifeswap/Desperate Housewives/Grey's Anatomy is also good pairing.
Buffyboy323 07-27-2009, 05:32 PM Four episodes of Reba back to back to back to back is WAY too much. The show only has 125 episodes! Lifetime will fly through all the episodes about every six weeks. That is horrible. It needs one airing (two at most) a day.
Medium and Grey's Anatomy should also get one airing a day. I think it might be "too much" for the daily Lifetime viewers to have all these drama shows thrown down their throats all at once. They've basically taken over the network. I always thought sitcoms did better for them - at least during the 6:00pm-8:00pm hours. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the fall.
And How I Met Your Mother will only air saturday nights at 1:00am and 1:30am? That sucks. Hopefully it will be given a much better slot next year, when Lifetime will (hopefully) air it five days a week.

Medium at noon seems kinda odd, and I was really enjoying it at 7pm too! 3 hours of GA is really uncalled for - that's 15 hours a week! The 1:30 is actually understandable - so now both GA and Medium have 3 airings. For dramas, thats a lot in one day.
Pavan 10-12-2009, 12:42 AM Forgot to post that on Friday, but thanks catsrule for posting! Grey's is doing decent for them.
