Today is Jerry Paris' birthday, and he would've been 84. Tragically, he died from brain cancer in 1986 but his directorial work and acting have paved a legacy for him that allows people to still enjoy his work years after his death. He guest starred in five of Happy Days' episodes and I believe he directed just about every episode of Happy Days. God Bless, Jerry and Happy Birthday.

Not only was Jerry Paris an outstanding director and a great character actor but he was also a great mentor. Several "Happy Days" cast members, after learning the craft from Jerry, went on to careers of their own as directors. These include Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, and Anson Williams. Don Most also has a couple of directing credits on his resume. Jerry Paris may have left us far too soon but he left behind a great legacy! Happy Birthday Jerry!
