that 35 years ago this September Chico and the Man debuted on NBC. After all these years, fans still adore the show.

As I thought of this thread, many memories appeared of the show that I have enjoyed.

For example....

Seeing Freddie for the first time ride his bike in the garage. The wonderful connect between Jack Albertson and Freddie Prinze. The way the cast brought the show together.

Seeing the many emotions each actor portrayed.

The guest appearances of Joey Bishop playing the bumbling robber, Avery Schreiber as Mykloss the gypsy.

Wondering how gorgeous Freddie was going to look in each episode

Wow, I can't believe it's been 35 years, either! How time flies! I don't have any memories to share, since it's been a very long time since I've seen a Chico and the Man episode, but it would be nice if they decided to start showing "Chico" again on TV. It's been much too long.

I remember when the first ep came on. I left the tv on after watching Sanford and Son & on came this new hispanic show. It looked good so I watched it & ever since then enjoyed it. I wasn't yet in love with Freddie but the Tvland re-runs changed all that & got me into him...

I'll never forget the infamous CATM marathon weekend that started it all on this board. I hadn't even given the show a thought for years and there I was channel surfing and happened upon CATM by accident. After a couple shows I found myself hooked and after the weekend was over I started looking for information on Freddie Prinze. I stumbled across this board and the rest is history. Since then I have met lots of friends and learned so much about Freddie and found that I'm not the only one that was curious about the young latino actor and his side kick Jack. Glad I have met so many wonderful people on this message board.
