Saw TV ads several times on Hallmark for The Lucy Show and print ads in magazines as well!

I'm shocked (but pleasantly so) that CBS has decided to get behind this release.

They should really push this set ... they have a lot to be proud of with this release!

I like the way they show the I Love Lucy releases with The Lucy Show in front, promoting the continuation of Lucy!
I'm so happy with CBS for their treatment of The Lucy Show and also The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction! I hope they realize how much they've pleased Lucy fans as well as classic tv fans, and will keep it up!!:) :) :)

Oddly, though, I can't find this set listed on CBS's website. Did somebody forget to put it there?

I don't think their site is update frequently. Someone also suggested that checking the Distribution Bible is a good indication of what may be released in the future but I found that many shows listed there say that they "have not been transferred to HD" and yet they were still released on dvd recently. For example, Friday the 13th - the series.

So maybe work for Season 2 has already begun. I hope so because this seems to be one of the most-popular releases this year. :)

I hope your thinking is right Robert! That reminds me of the incident where one of the people here, contacted CBS a day or so before the official announcement for The Lucy Show came out, and the rep on the phone said there was no plans to release it! I guess nobody told her!
My point, we just never know whats going on for sure!

Does anyone have a contact email or number for CBS to let them know how pleased we are with the set? If we show appreciation to the set released, then I'm sure that would help influence the decision to release season 2.

Yes! I want to praise them too, and I want them to know it, as much as I want companies to know when I'm unhappy with them. Let them know, so they'll do the same with other productions!!!!!!

You can write your letters to Ken Ross to praise the "The Lucy Show" DVD set and extras/interviews. I am not sure if I can post an address here because moderators always try to censor things... especially on the Home Theatre Forum. But his address is located on www.thelucyshowdvd.com Scroll to the very bottom.

I agree 100%. I am sure the sales will speak for themselves but since CBS made note about the fans contacting them for the release, it would be nice to also thank them for a job well done!

You read my mind, that is exactly why I think we need to praise them and let them know a job well done. If they included all those great extras on this set, then there must be other extras to include for future releases as well! (I wonder if the "Lucy In London" would be included as an extra since it does include Lucy Carmichael as the main character?)

Oh gees, I hope that too. It just occurrred to me Lucy in London is not one of the MPI LB Specials, and I'd really like to see that.

I sent Paramount an e-mail to their CSR department and I also just sent a written letter to Ken Ross. :)

Great to hear some people are writing letters. I don't think we can take this set for granted that every release will be this way. I am pretty sure it's so amazingly well done because true fans worked on the set. So it's definitely a great idea to let CBS know that we are thankful for all the work that was put into it. They could have just slapped the episodes on a disc like most sets.

BTW, you can see the promo that aired on the Hallmark channel on http://thelucyshowdvd.com/

Knowing how quickly MPI works and how slowly CBS can be (although they are releasing Hawaii Five-O in a very timely manner I must say) I bet we see all six seasons of Here's Lucy within three years but it will probably take five or six years for The Lucy Show. Just a hunch and I hope I am wrong. I must commend them though for doing this right and including all the extras that they did. This is a top notch release and I love seeing The Lucy Show again.
