I was reading an Us Weekly magazine from February 4 of last year and they had a page called 'Loose Talk', and when asked about getting his start in show business he responded "I have a list of really sh--ty shows that I was really sh--ty in."

I appreciate his honesty, but he just another list of stars that bash the shows that gave them their start? I guess we can call off a reunion special with him if that ever happens again.

Well, Clooney's a big shot now. What do you expect?? (Personally, I've always thought he's WAY overrated - both in the looks and acting departments.)

I've said this before, but I hate when actors/actresses bash the shows that made them popular. I doubt that FOL turned Clooney into the mega star that he is today, but I still remember him being on the show. For him to say that about FOL is insulting to the other cast members and frankly makes him sound really arrogant, like he's "so big" now that everything else is just an afterthought. That's a crappy thing for him to do.

My guess is that's just his humor. He doesn't come across to me as the type of person to bash where he got his start.

George Clooney's an actor?

I think he's bitter. I heard him say once how he was fired from FOL I don't think he liked it.

Well maybe he is also referring to the thousand and one shows he was also on...E/R the sitcom, Baby Talk, Roseanne (first season), Sunset Strip, Bodies of Evidence, Sisters.....yea, long list of crap there *sarcasm*

As Sonny said, George probably still has bad feelings about his days on FOL because he was fired from the series.

I think her only famous non-Brady role was that tv movie Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway.

Yes, and based on the success of that movie, she turned down The Brady Bunch Hour in 1977, figuring she was on a new career path.

It didn't happen, and she participated in all the subsequent Brady reunions.

But Eve had the distinction of being the one that started the "Fake Brady Girl" role that would play a part in other reunions.

How wonderful.

Yeah, now it's his chance to gloat because he was the fired star who, arguably, made it the biggest.

She WAS smart to turn the Variety Hour down - you can't fault her judgement there.

Was that a show from the later years, Cat? Because I don't remember that one. Never watched it during the non-Mrs. Garrett years.

I had no idea that it had a tv movie sequel Alexander: The Other Side of Dawn. Never knew that until now.

She missed out on her chance to sing "Love To Love You Baby."

(pause for deep thought)

Yeah, you're right, she was smart not to do that show.

It was a 2-part episode that aired in Season 4.

Oh, sure...George Clooney calls "Facts of Life" a "sh*tty show", but when he guested on "Friends", which in my opinion is one of the sh*ttiest shows ever on television, he always praises about that. Why? Because Jennifer Aniston is pencil thin while the "FOL" girls aren't exactly supermodels? OMG!!! What a jerk! Judging by how he treats all his girlfriends and goes around being a cassanova, this man has very little regard for women.

Thanks, Cat. It's been so long that I forgot. I'm sure if I saw it, I'd remember.

I think.

She was also in the short-lived 90's series Fudge(based on Judy Blume's books)

Don't forget the George Clooney 80's classics- Return of the Killer Tomatos and Return to Horror High(which also featured a blood obsessed Maureen McCormick)

Yes, she played the mother, and none other than Flo Henderson played the grandma (in the pilot movie).

Why are we talking about "The Brady Bunch" all of a sudden? This was supposed to be George Clooney dissing "That Facts of Life"!

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. My opinion is... George Clooney is a S***y actor and he's not even that handsome either!

I don't even know what show we're talking about. I just saw an opportunity to insult George cLooney ;)

He doesn't need to show any respect or loyalty to the show. It didn't necessarily make him a star. I'm sure 80% of the American TV watching population don't even remember him ever being on the show.

But calling Facts of Life or Roseanne calling "s..." is just poor judgment. Both shows were good (for their time.)

It starred Elliot Gould and Mary McDonnell. Sherman Hemsley guest starred in the premiere as George Jefferson. I think Jason Alexander had a recurring role too. I thought it was a pretty funny show. It had a great theme song.

There is an old show business saying. "Be careful who you step on on the way up because you'll meet the same people on the way back down." One of these days George is going to have to answer for these comments!

george is a great actor, but has a big mouth. I would cut him some slakc though and guess he's refeerring to the 75 other tv shows he was on! I thinbk he even guested on "Booker"! He was very nice when the reunion movie was shot as I remember, talked to ET stuff like that. But he does have loose lips. His comments on certain people are downright rude.

With all the Eve Plumb talk here, I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned the other GLARING example of someone who has disassociated herself from the show that made her famous.

Hellooooooo, Susan Dey...
