A short while ago, I started a thread called "Current Events". This was shortly after the death of Michael Jackson. I mentioned how a lot of the time, current events spark interest in old shows that in one way or another had to do with people or things regarding that event. One page that this tends to happen quite a bit with is the "Golden Girls". On this page, this took place when Betty White starred in a new movie and when Estelle Getty and Bea Arthur passed away. After pointing this out, I mentioned how there were two episodes or "Gimme a Break!" that, in one way or another had to do with Michael Jackson. However, that did not inspire anyone other than me to post a message! Well, about an hour ago, I read about another current event that also, in one way or another had to do with this show. The event that I am writing about is the death of Walter Cronkite. Reading about this takes me back to the first season episode known as the "Emergency". The Chief said a sentence that included the words terms "with-it" and "hussy". Nell made a joke about how, trying to put those two words into the same sentence is like putting a purple wig on Walter Cronkite! How amusing!
