She played Dixie Randazzo.

She's great. I saw her in a few episodes of Roswell last season. (not a sitcom and not a comedic role, but that's where I saw her.)

now she's Doug Heffernan's mom on King Of Queens on Mondays on CBS. She'll appear about once a year on that. Amazing, I remember her from a Barney Miller from about 1978. She played a woman who spent years trying to track down her real father who she really never knew. She was born in 1942 so she was 36 then (and quite pretty too) and now she's playing an older mother entering her golden years on KOQ at age 61. I'm really starting to feel OLD!

Ironically... she and Joel were on The Facts of Life at different times... she during the first season, and him during the 4th (or so) season...
