In seems that one thing that very often causes posts on these pages is current events that, in one way or another relate to the show or the people who performed in it. A good case and point is that former "Facts of Life" start Molly Ringwald recently gave birth to twins. Someone started a thread very shortly after it happened and several people have already posted response congradulating her. Once Bea Arthur passed away, "Golden Girls" fans could not get their fill of comments! Well, I can only think of one current event that you could make a case pertains to "Gimme a Break!" This event is the passing of Michael Jackson. I can think of two things that happened on the show that had to do with him. Both of these were in the third season. Early on in "Samantha's Protest" Nell was telling Samantha about an article about Michael Jackson that she had just read in the newspaper that she was holding. If anyone is interested, that episode is still up on "Youtube". Later in the season, we have the episode in which Katie announces that she and her friend are opening a boutique. While they are modeling cloths that Katie had designed, they use "Thriller" as background music. As a lot of you probably know, that was a very popular Michael Jackson song at the time. Those are the only two pieces of linkage that I can think of.
