MickeyMac 07-11-2009, 03:56 PM If this is a real channel this is a good line up. Hope it stays this way.
MikeLutton 07-11-2009, 04:19 PM it one i made up pretty good huh it wil stay this way total variety
MickeyMac 07-11-2009, 04:21 PM If you want to keep this channel the way it is and working, never never hire anybody who currently works for TVLand :D
Mr. Television 07-11-2009, 05:00 PM I wish you were in charge of a cable network. That's a great lineup.
asanka000 07-21-2009, 02:32 AM pretty cool. thanks a lot for your thread!!
Scoobiedoo30 10-28-2009, 05:40 PM I am glad to see Benson is on Sunday's at 7:00 pm
Schmoopie 01-30-2010, 03:04 AM Ha ha, I thought you were serious, since there is a station called Retro TV, but they only show a few of the classics, like Patty Duke, Leave it to Beaver and I've forgotten the other ones. Still I guess it's better than nothing!
MikeLutton 01-30-2010, 03:14 AM i know i see that channell at my grandmas not many classic on there so i made my own much better then what is on tv today
it is better then nothing but they need show good stuff espically on weekends
Just one problem with your schedule:Eight Is Enough at 6 AM?
It should be on between 5-10 PM so more fans could see it.
MikeLutton 04-01-2010, 10:58 PM thanks il think of more changes as igo along u notice all my shows air once a day so nothing be over played or over done, that fun of it so no shows get burned out to quickly
Retro4Life 08-23-2010, 08:23 PM I like the way you grouped blocks of programming according to similar actors and themes.
It's a great lineup, for sure. Wish you were in charge of a network
Hughsgirl 08-24-2010, 11:45 AM Very impressive line up there Mike, too bad it wasn't real....LOL!
70s show watcher 08-31-2010, 05:11 AM it one i made up pretty good huh it wil stay this way total varietyi like it the lineup reminds me of the lineups that the stations in southern california had in the 70s and 80s it esp reminds me of kttv great job
MikeLutton 08-31-2010, 02:17 PM thanks its hard trying add every show in the world but im trying to to more to come soon,i try add shows not on syndication, like during the weekdays.
CommonTater 09-19-2010, 11:30 PM If that were a real network, I would watch it 24/7!
MikeLutton 09-19-2010, 11:43 PM thanks i tried hard make it seem real the 6 to 7 hour got it get off work classic work week
like with Barney Miller spend time in jail then head to Nigh court.then head to work at a junkyad spend time with Fred sanford then end your night at a bar at Archie Bunkers place classic theme what you think
CommonTater 09-25-2010, 12:11 AM Years ago I always hoped Ted Turner would start a network for classic shows. TCM is still awesome and the movies aren't chopped up like on AMC.
MikeLutton 09-25-2010, 12:43 AM i dont watch tmc do see good shows on there,on my direct tv dvr i miss old shows at night time like Honeymooners early in the morning am Happy days classic saturday morning cartoons, going out getting the fall preview of tv guide.im tired of all the classic tv shows going to one state only
what ever happend to going nationwide, and showing everyone your classic tv shows, now we got one in Houston which so unfair to everyone else
CommonTater 09-25-2010, 10:51 AM The only classic shows we can get are the couple of WGN America (Jeannie and Bewitched) and TV Land. TV Land is pretty worthless, we don't watch because they chop up the shows so bad.
We would like to get RTN but can't pick up anything with an antenna and no cable out here. Our only option is a dish.
I continue hoping someone will come out with a classic network available to everyone.
MikeLutton 09-25-2010, 03:18 PM same here only way we can get classic tv is watch dvds by way did you like my schedule
tanquant 10-30-2010, 10:33 AM Love the line up. I thought that t was real and was about to see if I had that channel. lol The ony thing that I would change would be the Saturday morning line up I would put Saturday morning cartoons from 6am-12pm. Then it would be perfect.
MikeLutton 11-08-2010, 07:07 PM I like the way you grouped blocks of programming according to similar actors and themes.
It's a great lineup, for sure. Wish you were in charge of a network
new morning schedule take a look
McFly121 01-04-2011, 02:19 AM Niiiice, now all this guy needs is a billion $$$ for the rights and we'd be sittin' in butter. Even Heathcliff in there. Cool. Until then, youtube will serve as the closest thing to finding the rare and obscure epsiode of something.
MikeLutton 01-15-2011, 05:27 PM hey brand new weekday and weeknight Line up your love it check it out leave comments
1960'sTVfan 02-16-2011, 10:37 PM I think there should be a channel that airs all the old great variety shows. Ed Sullivan, Perry Como, Dean Martin, Jim Nabors, Glen Campbell, Flip Wilson, Sonny & Cher, Carol Burnett, Laugh In, Smothers Brothers, Hee Haw. Now THAT would be a great channel.
MrCleveland 02-19-2011, 12:16 PM I wish my affiliate would come on Cable or Converter Box.
I also hope MeTV would come to Cleveland as well....
WalrusIsPaul 02-20-2011, 12:59 AM Makes me remember when TVLand used to be one of my fav channels including the old commercials. I'm sure yins all remember when it used to be a great channel for old shows. I also used to love VH1 when they would show old music shows,American Bandstand & Midnight Special. And loved the Behind The Music series. Wish they would rerun all those BTM shows. I never put them on vhs or dvd 1st time around or any othet ime cept for a few
MikeLutton 02-20-2011, 01:43 AM like my channell it kind of like what tv land use to be Like
WalrusIsPaul 02-20-2011, 02:09 AM Seems like a lot of new channels that sprung up in the last 10 or so years started out good and morphed out of and into something else than what it started out as and became cookie cutter to other stations..sad sad sad
MikeLutton 02-20-2011, 04:29 AM check out my new updated schedule something for everybody
MrCleveland 02-20-2011, 12:25 PM Makes me remember when TVLand used to be one of my fav channels including the old commercials.
Yeah, many stations HAD identities, SciFi played Science Fiction, MTV played Music Videos, Disney Channel played stuff by Disney, Cartoon Network played cartoons...
Now, SciFi is now Syfy and plays whatever, MTV doesn't play Music Videos, Disney Channel is now "Disney" Channel (But they did seem to put a few Disney Shorts on their station lately), Cartoon Network dumped Looney Tunes for...Live-Action Shows!
And it seems that lately, there's a lot of stations playing older shows such as The Hub and WGN America.
CHERISLAND 02-20-2011, 01:52 PM I think there should be a channel that airs all the old great variety shows. Ed Sullivan, Perry Como, Dean Martin, Jim Nabors, Glen Campbell, Flip Wilson, Sonny & Cher, Carol Burnett, Laugh In, Smothers Brothers, Hee Haw. Now THAT would be a great channel.
That would be an AWESOME channel!!! Would love for someone to do this...and show the episodes complete and uncut. There is definitely a market out there for a station to air variety shows. It would be the next best thing to some of these shows ever being released in their entirety on DVD. It would be great to see the entire Carol Burnett Show, right from the first season. Tvland did air Sonny & Cher, and Flip quite a few years back (which was great!), but even those episodes were not the entire series of each show. Many episodes were left out.
i am looking forward to watCh I LOVE LUCY hope i'll get time to watch that.......:) by the way thanx for the update
mets82 03-14-2011, 06:05 PM schedule overall something for everybody weekend comedy laughs sunday night action check leave comments thanks
Hello, Im new to the site:wave: and its wonderful. Mike, I like your schedule. You know I made a similar schedule like yours about 4 or 5 yrs. ago. I agree there should be a CLASSIC tv channel. Not just some shows, ALL shows classic. I really wish someone could invest in something like that. I would hire you in a heartbeat to run it because you know what your doing.
MikeLutton 03-27-2011, 12:53 AM i like it the lineup reminds me of the lineups that the stations in southern california had in the 70s and 80s it esp reminds me of kttv great job

mets82 05-06-2011, 07:45 PM Dumb question but are all your changes on the first page of this thread? Btw, you have a great lineup. I've actually tinkered with something like what you have been doing for yrs. Btw, if you were going to start a classic tv channel, how would start one. Hell, I wouldnt mind starting one.
MikeLutton 05-06-2011, 11:13 PM thanks i put it on front page just edit it a bit hard to find room for every show i want add not sure that the action adventure shows be good on weedays r weekends r spread them out like ido now.
its easy to make one just creativetivty n good scheduling all it takes
mets82 05-08-2011, 09:11 PM Mike, you do a FANTASTIC job with your schedule. I have to post my schedule up. I will do it soon. But you do a good job with how you schedule your programs. They all make sense as far as where and when they are on. Im more with the gimmicks, in other words like TV Land used to have "Last Things Last" on New Years Eve which would be series finales of shows. The next day would be "First Things First" which would be the series pilots of shows.
We would make a good team on a classic channel. Hell, its got to be better than whats on now.

mets82 05-08-2011, 11:34 PM Excellent, Excellent!! I thought I was the only one who thought of things like this!! If you dont mind me suggesting, the only thing I would change is I would move The Honeymooners to the Weekend just because I believe there were only 39 episodes that still exist and having the show on 5 days a week, you'll go throught them pretty fast.
MikeLutton 05-09-2011, 12:10 AM good though il replace Honeymooners with Sanford and son what neighbors they make sound good
mets82 06-01-2011, 09:57 PM welcome to the newly revamped classic retro tv heaven channell we got all the classics you could love from every single generation from the era you was born through the era of today sit back and enjoy being a kid again enjoy with classic television.right in your very own home.

Love the changes Mike!! You've done a good job keeping classic tv with more current tv. Its not all classic tv but its not all current tv either. You have a good balance. I will eventually present my cable channel that I have been working on for it seems like forever. I'll also give you some different themes that I have for my channel.

mets82 12-25-2012, 09:32 PM You updated your channel on page 1, right? If thats right, thats a damn good channel you have there. I like how you scheduled it and it makes sense putting shows with the tv spinoffs. Very good channel, only wish you had the money to do it, I think it would be really good.
mtnman303 12-28-2012, 01:42 AM This is a great list... I'm new to this forum and just saying hello to everyone. I really love the Andy Griffith Show and the Waltons. Those were really good shows for their time and so wholesome. Well since this site is about sitcoms mainly I think I better get to that!
