Brady Bunch Sisters At War Over Scrapped Reunion

The Brady Bunch actress Eve Plumb has hit back at her former co-star Maureen McCormick after her one-time friend accused her of sabotaging a planned reunion.

McCormick, who played Marcia on the hit 1970s sitcom, recently claimed Plumb, who starred as her sister Jan, turned down the chance to reunite on TV - insisting her former pal can't forgive her for joking about their 'lesbian romance'.

McCormick made a gag about her relationship with Plumb last year - claiming the pair enjoyed a brief fling while filming the show.

She later insisted her comments were meant in jest - but stated Plumb took offence and subsequently refused to appear on Oprah Winfrey's TV series.

The actress wrote on her Fancast.com Internet blog, "All of us said yes except for one person, Eve Plumb, who used to be my best friend but now apparently wants to distance herself from the show and, most troubling, from me.

"I have no idea why, unless she's mad at the joke I made a few years ago that we'd had a lesbian love affair. I made the crack to be funny - and for shock value. I'm sorry if she took offence."

Plumb's representatives have hit back at McCormick's claims - her agent , Mark Measures, tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "No one from Oprah called. We haven't turned down anything. There is no feud."

It did not help that Maureen took this public.....Susan Olsen put this on her Facebook. Eve is a little bitter at things, but still Mo should have just not aired this in public.

Eve seemed rather stand-offish from the rest,at the TVLand 35th Anniversary Show, and at one point Maureen praised her for her art talent. I don't know when their major falling out was though. :confused:

From what I've read on many occasions on and offline, Eve always hated Maureen even back when they were filming the show. Back then, they were both teens and had the hormonal issues and at one point were both fighting over Christopher Knight, then whenever Eve had one of her boyfriends visit her on the set, Maureen would flirt with him. Then when Maureen started going braless to the set, so did Eve. Eve was always extremely jealous of Maureen and then after "BB" ended, even with the other "Brady" shows, Eve seemed thrilled to be away from Maureen and her self-absorbed persona. From what I've heard Maureen actually became friends with the girl who replaced Eve on "The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" and Eve became friends with the girl who replaced Maureen on "The Bradys". Eve only chose to do "The Brady Brides" and "A Very Brady Christmas" because of the money and she was excited about seeing the other castmembers, except Maureen of course. In fact, in the Christmas movie, Eve and Maureen barely acknowledged each other. And Florence Henderson admitted that Eve has always resented the endless amounts of positive attention aimed at Maureen and often times guys would only date Eve to get to Maureen. So, I think if these two were ever in a room together, without the other castmembers, we'd see them hissing at each other and making personal comments about each other, then the fur would start to fly and blood would be splattered.

No she doesn't,why make a story like that without discussing it first. I wouldn't want to be seen with someone who said i did a gay thing with them when i didn't.

It also works the other way with Eve if they did something and now Maureen said it was a joke.

Eve doesn't have to do a reunion,it's not like a new series is being made with the remaining cast just interviews.

If I had to take sides, I'd go with Maureen. I saw her again last night on Access or something like that (she's going to lose the weight she's gained back). Seeing her on Celebrity Fit Club and again last night, I remembered back to how "jealous" of her I was when the show first ran (I'm 2 or 3 yrs younger than Maureen) and how I thought she was probably a snot in real life and stuck up. Turns out she's just a real human with flaws like the rest of us. So she made a joke - big deal. I'm sure it stemmed from the books and documentaries saying how they all had their little "love affairs" on the show. Eve needs to get a little more comfortable with her sexuality methinks and laugh and let it go.

I've really gained a lot of respect and liking for Maureen the past few years. She's been through a lot of crap in her personal life and I consider her a survivor.

Maureen just wants publicity in a world of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, so she goes around saying she and her TV sister were gay lovers, then when it all comes to bite her in the ***, she back-peddles. But, seriously, I don't really blame Eve for being angry, because she is a wife and a mother and I'm sure she would not like there being rumors going around about her being gay, or stories about her and her TV sister having an affair floating around for her husband and kids to see. That compacted with the fact that Eve always hated Maureen and has always been jealous of her.

I feel kind of sad that Eve has not really come out to be with the rest of the others. I always liked her. I always thought she was pretty and I loved her acting. She has alot going for her and she has many loyal fans.

As for Maureen........ she should've not mentioned her tryst with Eve. That should've never been said. Even if it was fake or real or whatever. I like Maureen. I was really getting into her last show. The one of her on the farm (forgot the name of the reality show) with Bobby Brown. I thought that show was so funny. None of this is true! There was never any offer from Oprah's people to book a Brady Bunch reunion on her show. So you are all getting worked up for nothing!! This was confirmed to me last week by several sources including four of the Brady Kids. Please do not believe what you have read!!!

I'm surprised the 6 kids didn't have more kids. Maureen, Barry and Susan each have one, Michael has two, and neither Eve nor Chris have any (that we know of).

Sometimes that happens in big families. My parents just have 5 grandkids from their 5 kids in their 40s & 50s (I'm not contributing here myself.), and my aunt & uncle just have 1 grandchild from their 5 kids, who are in their 20s & 30s now.
