Over on the "Brady Bunch" page of this site, someone has recently posted a very interesting thread that already has some responses. It is what people said over there that has inspired me to start this thread here. Someone speculated how that series would have been in Florance Henderson had not been cast as the part of Mrs. Brady. This poster mentioned the name of another actress who had been considered for the part. Well, one thing that true fans of this show are aware of is that Helen Hunt was one of the actresses being considered for the part of Katie. Now I am aware that once upon a time, someone already started a thread called "Helen Hunt as Katie". However, time was caused that thread to go way down the page probably never to be seen again! Because of this, I would like to start this convesation with a new generation of fans. How do you guys think she would have done? How do you think that she did on the one occasion in which she guest starred on this show? Because of the degree to which she has been typecast in her years of fame since then, it is hard for me to picture her as a Katie type character. Her main time in the spotlight was in the nineties and she would tend to play the roles of relatively smart ladies with quite a bit of substance. It is hard for me to think of her as someone as shallow and superficial and Katie Kinisky! After I post this, I will probably go to the "Mad About You" section and tell my buddies there about this post. I will then respond to the "Brady Bunch" thread telling the poeple there about both posts. By that time, about an hour should have gone by and I will return here and see if this one has any responses or even views!
