Who knows.. maybe it'll be unedited as its released by a different (and competent) DVD production company. With the DVDs having FIVE audio tracks (english included of course) it'd be a lot of pain for Warner Home Video to cut down all the masters. If the extras are excluded, the runtime alone would measure up to 23.5 minute per episode.

Alf, the wuschel, spitzzüngige aliens from the planet Melmac, landed after the explosion of his own star on the Tanner family on Earth. The existence of the little alien prepares the Tanners are not always fun, but creates all sorts of strange twists in which the idiosyncratic Alf not entirely innocent. It did seem a little odd so I checked out another site and found one with the German titles. It looks like they didn't realise the episode titles (except for the pilot) are song titles.

My favourite episode from season 1 is "La Cucaracha". I love the German title.

They realise it allright, but Germas dub, translate & change everything.

Verdict: Full length episodes, One single song removed from "For your eyes only", but the rest are intact. This is a chance to see ALF in almost perfection.

The Chipmunks song scene in "For Your Eyes Only" is deleted, but that appears to be it from what I've heard :p

I see Japan is also releasing DVD's. I wonder if they're uncut and if so, if they have the removed "chipmunk" song from "For Your Eyes Only".

I translated a website from Japan and one of the posters said they were the cut versions. The running time indicated as much as well.

Apparently there's a Dutch release but I don't know if "For Your Eyes Only" is cut or not. It's available through Amazon UK but there's no details. This is all very frustrating.

I sent a message to one of the Amazon UK sellers about "For Your Eyes Only" and it is indeed missing the chipmunk section. (insert "big sigh" emoticon here)

At least it's the only thing missing.. what are 40 seconds compared to the 60+ minutes missing on the american S1 set.

Nice to see that Germany got an uncut release of ALF. I'll have to think about importing these sets? I already have an all region DVD player,so I'm good to go.

You HAVE to get these DVD's, it's 80 more minutes of ALF after all.

Well I finaly broke down an order The German copy of ALF season 1. Yeah I see that season 2 is out now as well. But I will hold off on buying season 2 untill later.
Well looking forward to getting this set.And finaly see the true uncut version of ALF season 1.
