View Full Version : I cannot believe that Trevor Ariza Left the Lakers to go to a team who no longer
TVFactFan 07-03-2009, 01:18 PM HAS RON ARTEST Or YAO MING_lol
It will just be him and Tracy McGrady-lol Why would he have his agent play hardball with a team who just won the title???
He is a fool
Wreckless 07-03-2009, 03:28 PM He got money. By his standards, he has money and is rich. So Trevor can do whatever the hell he wants lol. Sure he isn't making 60 mil a year or making top bucks like the best in the game, but he's making plenty enough to secure his family for life financially, and himself, plus have the entertainment and have extra money for whatever, on top of it. But yeah, from a talent standpoint, I agree with you their. TMac sucks anyway. Dude can't even win a playoff round. The reason they got past it this past year was with Yao, Ron & the supporting cast. Plus not having McGrady around to mess things up .
TVFactFan 07-03-2009, 03:32 PM I think Houston should cut Yao Ming
Did you hear that BIg D*ckhead may have to miss the entire season? He is the Chinese Basketball version of Troy Aikman, FRAGILE
LOL
Wreckless 07-03-2009, 03:48 PM And that's his fault?
Yao Ming > Shaq
Yao has talent, and is a team player.....unlike Ron Arrest...and how Kobe Bryant used to be
Cut Him....you're definitely on your rocker Solomon

Because he serves them no purpose since he is INJURY PRONE

shaq gets injured EVERY year...injuries are a part of the game..you don't cut a guy, just because he's going hard, giving 110% and blows his knee out in the process. don't ever become a General Manager- lol, because you just don't understand what goes on, why things happen, what you have to do when something like this happens, plus you'd have every player with less then 82 games played a season, cut as soon as they hit the IR/DL

And Tracy McGrady is prone to losing. I'd rather have a guy like Yao who is the leader of the team, the scoring threat, the guy who gives his all, plus doesn't give any lip to the coach or GM like a Terrell Owens, who you must definitely love, then a guy who can't even get it done on the court, injury or healthy.
read both posts and see what you think.

They both have a long history of getting injured and they both are OLDER so it's time to move on
James 07-03-2009, 11:41 PM Wow. Until I read this thread I thought Ariza was going to the Cavs!
Whew!
Big C 07-04-2009, 12:34 AM Why are you calling Yao a d*ckhead?
That's a term I only use for malcontents who are locker-room cancers, not a player who gets hurt a lot.

 I know right.
It's a word out of place, especially with the name Yao Ming put in front of it.

Because he is weak and clumsy

LOLi agree he is just not worth the hassle
Brad Russ 07-05-2009, 03:45 AM I can understand wanting to get paid more and all that, but I don't think even a raise would get me to leave a Championship team. I'm not going to dog Ariza though. Money is money, and especially during these crazy economic times, I can see a guy wanting to get as much as he can. I really don't think anyone really loses in this trade. The Lakers will be just fine without him, and I'm sure Ariza will be happy making more money in Houston, and getting more playing time, so I really don't think this is too big of a deal.

i concur
James 07-07-2009, 03:52 AM Now there's talk about LeBron trying to lure Ariza to the Cavs from the Rockets, thinking his presence could motivate him to stay past 2010!
Wreckless 07-07-2009, 06:02 PM Lebron was going to stay past 2010 anyway. That talk of him going to the Knicks is ga'bage.

Yeah I heard that on ESPN, makes sense though because there is nothing in houston
isiahthomas 07-11-2009, 01:36 PM I agree with Solomon. Trevor is stupid for leaving the Lakers after they just won the championship. He should've took whatever salary the Lakers were gonna give him. Houston sucks and i'm surprised they got as far as they did in the playoffs this past season. I'm surprised the Lakers got Ron Artest. He's a as*hole and i've never liked him. I think he's overrated as a defender. Since we're on the topic of greedy NBA players who only care about money, look at what Hedo Turkloglu did. He signed with Toronto instead of staying with Orlando hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Toronto will never win a championship LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Bosh left Toronto when his contract is up next year.

He only left Orlando because they traded for Vince Carter
isiahthomas 07-11-2009, 01:47 PM It's still a stupid decision on his part for him to leave because they got Vince. Vince is probably gonna start at shooting guard since Courtney Lee is gone. So if Hedo would've stayed, he still would've been starting at power forward.

Courtney Lee is ith the Nets right?
isiahthomas 07-11-2009, 01:59 PM Yeah. I don't understand what Orlando's management was thinking getting rid of Rafer Alston and Courtney Lee. These 2 guys were the keys to their success this past season. This trade for Vince makes no sense at all to me. Rafer did a good job replacing Jameer Nelson. They should've gotten rid of Anthony Johnson's old ass instead of Rafer.
