This is really sad news for me. I've met Mr. Piper in person, and have talked to him by phone many times via the late Buddy Roses' old radio show, and he truly is a fantastic guy. I hope this was just a one time deal, and that he's not on some sort of downward spiral. Many former wrestlers have fallen down the wrong path, I hope Piper doesn't become one of them.

JamesG one of your posts it says Roddy Piper is facing up to six months in jail and the other post says he faces up to six years in jail. Just for clarification which one is correct?

That's probably a typo on IMDB's part. I'm sure it meant to say 6 months. Sooner or later they will correct it; they usually do when they make mistakes.

Sometimes it takes a few days.
