Kirk Thomas Cameron, the famous preacher, was born on October 12, 1969 in Panorama City, California, 2 months after movie star Christian Michael Leonard Slater was born on August 18, 1969 in New York City, New York.

Had Slater NOT dropped out of high school in 1985, he would have graduated high school in 1987, making Slater a grade ahead of Kirk when both attended regular school (when not tutored on the set).

On April 6, 1975, Kirk's parents gave him a little sister named Candace, who was born 2 months to the day before "My Two Dads" actress Staci Keanan was born.

Kirk Cameron is named after former child star Thomas Lee "Tommy" Kirk, who was born on December 10, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky.

If you readers pay close attention to a baby picture of Kirk taken MONTHS after his 1969 birth that I saw on the "Growing Pains" season 2 montage, you'll notice that Kirk's natural eye color is blue.

Country musician Martie Seidel, who along with Natalie Maines & her younger sister Emily Seidel formed the Dixie Chicks, was born on the exact same day as Kirk Cameron -- October 12, 1969.

Some ersatz biographies list Kirk's year of birth as 1970 & Candace's as 1976, but as stated at the beginning of this post, BOTH infos are WRONG!

Kirk worked alongside the late Dudley Moore in the hit 1987 film "Like Father, Like Son," which co-starred Sean Astin, who's 16 months Kirk's junior.

Kirk graduated high school in 1988, at age 18; 5 years later, not long after turning 18, Candace followed suit.

In 1989, just before turning 20, Kirk met and fell in love with Nancy Mueller, a.k.a. Chelsea Noble; 2 years later, in July 1991, Kirk and Nancy were wed in her home state of New York, with immediate family in attendance only.

Candace worked alongside Fred Savage in the made-for-TV film "No One Would Tell," in which she did a nude scene taking a shower.

Savage is best known for "The Wonder Years," of course, which aired alongside "Doogie Howser" with Neil Patrick Harris on ABC.

Tommy Kirk, in his heyday, was a Disney star in the 1950s, whose admitted homosexuality caused Walt Disney to tear up Tommy's contract, and except for the cult hit 1964 movie "Catalina Caper," Tommy Kirk NEVER worked in showbiz again.

Interesting facts, but I certainly wouldn't consider Kirk to be a well-known preacher. He's more of an evangelist, and he's best known as an actor, thanks to Growing Pains.
