View Full Version : Michael Jackson and Joe Jackson Scoobiedoo30 07-01-2009, 05:00 PM I was wondering what was The Story with Michael Jackson and his dad Joe Jackson Mr. Television 07-01-2009, 05:04 PM According to Michael, his dad beat him and abused him. I don't think they had a real good relationship. Scoobiedoo30 07-01-2009, 05:20 PM That is so very sad I wish that they could have got along why would Joe Jackson Beat up Michael. MickeyMac 07-01-2009, 06:49 PM That is so very sad I wish that they could have got along why would Joe Jackson Beat up Michael. I am not defending Joe Jackson but in those days when kids got out of line it was pretty common for a parent to hit their children. Thats just the way dicispline was done in those days. That said he is still far from being the worlds greatest dad. James"Thunder"Early 07-01-2009, 09:04 PM Joe Jackson was a stage father, so I think that made their relationship very poor. Joe certainly hasn't acted too upset, I realize people grieve differently, but I found it a bit odd that he was promoted his new business venture on the red carpet at the BET Awards over the weekend. Scoobiedoo30 07-01-2009, 09:35 PM What do you mean by Staige Father. James"Thunder"Early 07-01-2009, 10:54 PM What do you mean by Staige Father. One of those parents who pushes their kids into show business. gidgetgrape 07-01-2009, 11:03 PM Joe was (is?) a womanizer too; I'm sure MJ didn't appreciate his mother having to go through that either. Joe also allegedly fathered a child outside of marriage. Wreckless 07-01-2009, 11:07 PM Joe is a ******...beating his kids, cheating on his wife, not caring about his son dying....what kind of role model and father is that? a piece of **** if you ask me. Waterston_Fan 07-02-2009, 10:26 AM One of those parents who pushes their kids into show business. Yeah. It's like they push their kids into sports when they might not really want to. I call them sports fathers. Jessica 07-02-2009, 10:51 AM I saw an interview with him on youtube and they asked him what he felt since Michael died. He said "I'm great", but he didn't like that they had lost the worlds biggest superstar. He didn't talk about him as if he was familyHe talked about about him as a celebrity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO66BtD35hE Scoobiedoo30 07-02-2009, 11:35 AM Thanks For the Link. MickeyMac 07-02-2009, 12:24 PM I think Joe Jackson, Ryan O'Neal and Murray Wilson all should have gotten together and gone bowling or played pool together. catlover79 07-02-2009, 01:35 PM Joe was (is?) a womanizer too; I'm sure MJ didn't appreciate his mother having to go through that either. Joe also allegedly fathered a child outside of marriage. He did father at least one illegitimate child, from what I've read. He was definitely a womanizer. Michael revered his mother, and watching his father cheat on her scarred him. What kid wouldn't feel that way? Just a sad, sad story. ohno: catlover79 07-02-2009, 01:37 PM Joe Jackson was a stage father, so I think that made their relationship very poor. Joe certainly hasn't acted too upset, I realize people grieve differently, but I found it a bit odd that he was promoted his new business venture on the red carpet at the BET Awards over the weekend. I'm not surprised he would do that. He capitalized on Michael's fame while Michael was alive, so why wouldn't he now that Michael's dead?? EmoJoe 07-02-2009, 02:38 PM I am not defending Joe Jackson but in those days when kids got out of line it was pretty common for a parent to hit their children. Thats just the way dicispline was done in those days. That said he is still far from being the worlds greatest dad. theres a difference between discipline and downright abuse....Joe did the latter. Marvo301 07-02-2009, 03:12 PM I'm not surprised he would do that. He capitalized on Michael's fame while Michael was alive, so why wouldn't he now that Michael's dead?? Sad but true Jessica 07-02-2009, 04:32 PM Yeah. His dad is probably one reason for what happened. If he had been a good dad, he would support Michael no matter what. isiahthomas 07-11-2009, 02:12 PM I know that Michael didn't like Joe because of the way Joe treated him when he was a kid and he cheated on Katherine with other women. Plus i think it was wrong for Joe to force his sons to become singers when they were kids. Michael kept talking about he missed his childhood and that sucks when showbiz kids can't play with other kids. Now i see why Michael had Neverland Ranch built and why he acted like a kid. He missed out on his childhood. So now i understand why he wanted to be around kids but i think it was wrong of Michael to let kids that aren't his sleep with him instead of sleeping in another bedroom. Joe was a terrible father to Michael. I saw Joe promote his new record label at the BET awards when he was being interviewed. He's a pitiful person. Nobody cares about his record label LOL. Jessica 07-11-2009, 02:23 PM He wasn't a good dad. According to me, my childhood is the best time of my life. So no wonder why he missed it. |
