I was wondering what was The Story with Michael Jackson and his dad Joe Jackson

According to Michael, his dad beat him and abused him. I don't think they had a real good relationship.

I am not defending Joe Jackson but in those days when kids got out of line it was pretty common for a parent to hit their children. Thats just the way dicispline was done in those days.

That said he is still far from being the worlds greatest dad.

Joe Jackson was a stage father, so I think that made their relationship very poor. Joe certainly hasn't acted too upset, I realize people grieve differently, but I found it a bit odd that he was promoted his new business venture on the red carpet at the BET Awards over the weekend.

Joe is a ******...beating his kids, cheating on his wife, not caring about his son dying....what kind of role model and father is that? a piece of **** if you ask me.

I saw an interview with him on youtube and they asked him what he felt since Michael died. He said "I'm great", but he didn't like that they had lost the worlds biggest superstar. He didn't talk about him as if he was familyHe talked about about him as a celebrity.

He did father at least one illegitimate child, from what I've read. He was definitely a womanizer. Michael revered his mother, and watching his father cheat on her scarred him. What kid wouldn't feel that way? Just a sad, sad story. ohno:

theres a difference between discipline and downright abuse....Joe did the latter.

Yeah. His dad is probably one reason for what happened. If he had been a good dad, he would support Michael no matter what.

I know that Michael didn't like Joe because of the way Joe treated him when he was a kid and he cheated on Katherine with other women. Plus i think it was wrong for Joe to force his sons to become singers when they were kids. Michael kept talking about he missed his childhood and that sucks when showbiz kids can't play with other kids. Now i see why Michael had Neverland Ranch built and why he acted like a kid. He missed out on his childhood. So now i understand why he wanted to be around kids but i think it was wrong of Michael to let kids that aren't his sleep with him instead of sleeping in another bedroom. Joe was a terrible father to Michael. I saw Joe promote his new record label at the BET awards when he was being interviewed. He's a pitiful person. Nobody cares about his record label LOL.

He wasn't a good dad. According to me, my childhood is the best time of my life. So no wonder why he missed it.
