I'm sure most of you know that he hosted the 2nd and 3rd episode of UM back in the late 80's before Robert Stack was chosen as host. RIP.

RIP Karl, you had a good long life but you will be missed. But I do thank for you the autographed picture you sent me several years ago when I wrote to you. I will forever cherish it!

It seems like he lived such a long and full life. Talk about an actor who's seen it all! He was even in one of my favorite movies, A Streetcar Named Desire.

Rest in Peace, Karl.

This is sad, even though he lived a good long life. :( RIP Mr Malden.

What is it with all this death lately? It's bad enough with Michael Jackson so suddenly (not only am I a huge 80s music fan and of him in general, but "Billie Jean" was I think the first song I ever liked... so that's sentimental), and now none of the original UM hosts are with us anymore.

When people die doesn't it have a way of making a time seem further away (I guess since a tie is broken to the past)?

Karl Malden was married to the same woman for over 70 years. He married his wife Mona in December 1938. It became one of the longest marriages in Hollywood.

Rest in peace, Mr. Malden. :(

Here is the late, great Mr. Malden through the years - one of the pics is with his wife of 70+ years, Mona.

I always loved Karl, especially in the old movies. Remember him with Betty Davis, in Dead Ringer? I hope Mona is okay. This must be a tough time for her. Thanks for all the memories Karl. You were one class act!

RIP Karl. You were great on Unsolved Mysteries and although we all love Robert, both you and Raymond Burr did great jobs in the shows you hosted.

Dennis Farina could learn a thing or two from you.
