Stack always rocked his outfits. Which was your favorite?

I always liked that no-nonsense leather jacket. His trenchcoat was cool, but the jacket said "serious business".

I loved the traditional trench coat style.

MissFit you forgot to add the groovy brown corduroy jacket with the elbow patches he wore in the Shannon Mohr segment. Always a favorite look of mine.....

Dang! I forgot about that one. Maybe I was thinking about the outdoor clothing - he always seemed to be wearing a suit indoors.

I went with the trenchcoat, since I think that's his "trademark" look I was the most used to, but I like them all (depending on the context, location or tone of the story). He did seem to have the plaid shirt for outdoor on location filming more often too.

P.S. I agree Missfit, loved the leather jacket, he pulled off that "no-nonsense but cool older guy" look perfect. :)

I'm going to have to go with the classic trenchcoat look, as it made him almost as much as iconic as his voice. In fact, every time I see a person wearing a trenchcoat, the first thing that pops into my head is "Robert Stack." If you don't believe me, check out some of the UM spoofs on YouTube. A great number of the Stack impersonators wear trenchcoats since its synomymous with him and the show.

He looked good in everything, but my two favorites are the trench and leather coat. The leather coat just edges out the trench. Even into his senior years Stack remained sexy. He matured like a fine wine.

Oh yeah!! I swear that I saw him wear that jacket once and yes, it was the Shannon Mohr segment. That was his "rugged" look. He could pull off any look like no other!

What about when he wore that blue winter vest with the plaid long sleeved button down shirt underneath? Or was it a parka? I forget.

I think the leather jacket was pretty sharp, but my favorite was the good old trenchcoat.

Trenchcoat aka The Executive.

Also loved when he wore the black Mafia style suit. The suit look was very sharp.

I always liked "outdoorsy Stack"--anything with down vests, plaid shirts, or parkas.

The trenchcoat. Only because he resembles Scruff Mcgruff in it, and they both were trying to take a bite out of crime.

The trenchcoat was a very close second for me, but I preferred the bomber jacket.

i love the trenchcoat! it evokes that whole Elliot-Ness-serious-business thing.

but i also love when he wears mismatched suits, like beige pants with a navy jacket. it is so goofy looking that i love it. :)

The trenchcoat is iconic, although I will admit to a certain appreciation for his winter parka... :)
