Today is my cat Lily's 4th birthday. I didn't have a cake and a party for her, but I picked up a small toy while grocery shopping the other day. I don't always do that, but I happened to be there, it caught my eye, and into my grocery cart it went.

Do you remember your Pet's birthdays, and wish them a happy birthday? I'll admit, Lily got a kiss on her forehead, and I called her the birthday girl all day. How about you?

Janice,
That's sweet! Our cats are adopted, but we call the days we adopted them their 'birthday' (we got them both at the same time) so we have a special day to celebrate them. Petsmart always sends something in the mail for a free toy, and we usually get them those.

Our dog showed up the day after Thanksgiving 2006, so we consider Thanksgiving her birthday. :D

My dog Lola's birthday is December 4. I always get her special doggie cookies from the pet store for her birthday. She also gets a stocking for Christmas, so December is a big month for her.

Yeah, the stockings are a must. I have two cats, Lily and Cesar. They should really be called, Spoiled and Rotten, lol. You got to love 'em.

Yes. My dog's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and he was definitely feeling the love in the house. Petco sent him a coupon for a free treat, that I got for him. I also got him a new play toy and a new Nylabon for him to chew on.

Yep, my dog's 2nd birthday was June 5th, and I got him a new toy and said happy birthday all day.

A man came through my lane once who was buying a birthday treat for his dog. Then he said that he was going to take his dog out turkey hunting for the his birthday. It was really cute because the man said that his dog didn't know yet, it was a surprise.

Happy birthday to Lily.

We don't know the exact birthdays of our cats as we adopted them from Petsmart. The best info. that we have is that Cuddles was born ~November 2006 and Romeo was born ~February or April 2008.

Both my dogs Penny & Missy came into my life when they were both 2, so I don't know their birthdays exactly. I also don't even remember what the exact dates I got either, I just know Penny was the end of August 1999 and I think Missy was the end of July 2001. Now I found my cat, Tigger, on April 3, 2006 and the vet said he was about 9 months old.

I like to think as everyday as their birthday because everyday they're with me is really a gift to me.;)

I remember, but don't acknowledge them. Since we'd gotten our dog through a dog rescue they didn't have an exact birth date, so I'd count the day we got her as her birthday. What I do remember is when our dog died, August 18, 2008. I'll always remember that. She was a good dog.

We celebrate all of our pets' birthdays. We still even celebrate Duke's. :)

No, we don't acknowledge our pets birthday's, because most of them we pick up as strays off the streets, and so we have no way of knowing when their birthday is, or even how old they are. We do set aside special days for them, so that's kind of like giving them a little unofficial birthday party. :)

Yes, we acknowledge my cat, Gracie's, birthday. Usually not actually celebrate it though. We adopted her when she was a year old so, we don't know her exact birthday, but we picked/guessed June 20th, 1999- she just turned 10! We also always acknowledge her adoption birthday- the day we adopted her- January 20th, 2001- W's inauguration day! LOL

I acknowledge their bdays....My female cat Nibbles was born the week of April 12th. I brought her in and started taking care of her on the 14th 2004. And that's when I acknowledge her bday. The male, Gambit came along around three months later not for certain either July or August can't remember, anyway I gave him away and got him back two or three months later as I watched him for some friends who lived in an apartment which was being inspected. I watched him for two weeks then gave him back and when he went back home he was depressed cause he got close to Nibbles and liked the freedom he had at my house. They asked me if I would keep him and I agreed so that Nibbles would have a playmate.
